HELP!!
I have my first consultation with MYA on the 19th March.. SO excited.
Had consultations elsewhere… so have done my research on the procedure etc.
Problem is, I would like this operation asap, and based on what I’ve been told by another company I would need at least £1000 deposit to be considered for the 0% interest free finance option… but now I’ve looked into it a little more, I am starting to panic that I won’t be accepted for this option.
I am currently only in part-time work and only had this particular job since last November, although it’s a promising job and my boss is giving me more hours come summer etc I don’t think that will be taken into consideration.
I have had a credit check online (CreditExpert.com) and was put into the excellent category, but will being in part-time work hinder them from accepting me for this finance option?
I really want this operation this year preferably before summer, and I know I can get the deposit by April/May time, by not spending my hard earned cash!! But I know that saving for ALL the money will be the end of me!!
HELP HELP HELP
Has anyone been in this situation… or any advice would be much appreciated!!
xx
From what i’ve heard you need £1000 deposit and to be earning at least £1000 a month, but that’s just from what i’ve heard on here. I didn’t use finance so not sure x
if you have a great credit scoring see if you can go to your bank if you dont get accepted for the 0% and see if they can do a low interest loan? xxx
Ohhhh I’m not on £1000… not yet anyway!!
But I don’t have any outgoings really, apart from car insurance and phone contract.
I am really freaking out

Hi hun,
You only have to pay £500 deposit, If you can pay 60% of the price MYA will lend you the rest interest free over a yr….never once did they ask how much I earned a mth, I dnt have gd credit though so my oartner was a guarentor x
Hey…
So the more money I pay to start with, the more desirable it is for them to lend me the rest of the money?
I am really upset at the moment, I feel really down because I am only part time at the moment and I really don’t think they will let me take out that option.
Did you pay the 60% straight up then?
Sorry for all the questions, but I’m really panicking, although I havent even had my first consultation with MYA first but I was looking to have the deposit (at least £1000) by the end of April/May and have the operation in June… but that won’t happen if I don’t earn enough to be considered?
xx
I think I might call them this week and tell them I am really worried about being accepted, I had a credit score with CreditExpert… and I scored 966 out of 999 which puts me in the excellent category and the website told me I shouldn’t have any problem getting a loan. But like I mentioned before, I only work part time at the moment, and I don’t want that to work against me.
Do you girls think it’s a good idea to call that 0800 number?
I am really really panicking, and I am just under 2 weeks away from my first consultation with MYA. I am so upset and stressed out about this whole thing, I have wanted this operation for a while now, I am getting so down about my own breasts that I just want this asap. I have been so excited about saving up and not spending my money just so I can get the deposit together and have the operation as soon as they let me!!
Please help
xx
Katyeelou, please don’t panic. Do you have someone who can be a guarantor if you get asked for one? And have you looked into 0% credit card? There’s lots of them about and they usually have 18 months free with some of them. You’ll get sorted, don’t worry. x
kayteelou, ur doin better than me, im scrimping and saving… i want the finance option too but have a bancrupty against me from a few years back so its gonna be harder for me,.. but if i recal, u can get finance as long as ur on a minimum of 20 hours a week ( which is part time) so u shud be fine…. also a last resort wud be a bank loan which im 99% sure u will get given ur credit history so i wudnt worry, if u want it bad enough im sure you will get them… worst case see if a boyfriend or family member will put the finance in ur name, just have the payments coming out of ur account xxx theres loads of options i wudnt worry babe xxxxxx

Thank you so much for your replies girls!
I am starting to feel really stupid getting so worked up… But this is something I have wanted for such a long time, and I really don’t want it to blow up in my face you know?
Susielicious – I am sorry to hear about you not having that option, and I hope you get what you want and deserve in the end!! I am also really sorry if I have come across as a selfish brat as well, especially if you’re scrimping and saving so much for this!!
My boyfriend won’t be my garantor unforunately, but my dad said he would think about it, and if it comes to that then he will give me his answer! So fingers crossed he will do it for me, if not I may have to beg my mother!! Lol.
I have looked into the tesco credit card, because they’re doing a 13month 0% interest on all purchases at the moment, but credit cards really confuse me, and I don’t want to get in over my head.
If someone can explain credit cards to me… that would be a massive help if I end up having to go down that route!!
Thank you all so much!!

They might just ask you to add a guarentor. You’re more likely to get accepted if you put a large deposit down though. xx
What counts as a large deposit? Lol sorry if that sounds a really dumb question to ask

Hi Kayteelouu,
I am just finding out some more info on MYA’s o% and No deposit plans for you.
Is it Breast Enlargement you are interested in?
Yes that is the procedure I am interested in
Kayteelou,
Just had this from the finance team!
I’m glad you are excited about your consultation that’s coming up soon, with regard to finance; there’s no need to panic…
To have a Breast Enlargement with MYA; if you wanted to take the 0% finance you would not need to put a deposit down; however if you did have some money saved for a deposit, then your monthly repayments over the year may be a little more manageable.
With no deposit, your monthly repayments would come to around £350. As you are only working part time, it would probably be best if you could find a joint applicant/guarantor to strengthen your application. If you would like me to have a look over the credit report you received from Experian; I would be happy to do that, to help settle your mind and to give you a better Idea if you would be suitable on the application by yourself; or if you would indeed need a joint applicant.
At MYA, we look at applications individually and try to provide the best solution for every patient. This is of course subject to all the circumstances relevant to that application being met.
Why not give us a try, and we will do our best to help. What have you got to lose?
Thank you for replying to my post.
I would be very greatful if you were to take a look at the credit report I received from Experian because I would first like to at least try get the application/loan by myself.
What information would you need in order to do this?
And what would the role of guarantor involve?
Could one of my parents be a guarantor?
Yeh, I believe it has to be a family member or partner. This thread really proves how amazing this forum is! Professional answer n’ everything. xx
When will I know from the MYAModerator that they have checked over the credit score from Experian for me?
I am still panicking that I won’t be accepted and that neither of my parents will be my guarantor
