Hi girls
I had my op yesterday at highgate hospital in London, staff and rooms are lovely. My admission time was half 12 & went down about 3, was back in my room for 5pm. I was ridiculously drowsy as I had something to calm my nerves as I was very shaking but other than that I was fine. The first time I sat up was hard, I had unders so my chest was so right and felt like they was going to drop off. I also had drains and I will be honest when the nurse pulled one of my drains out it was so painful but on the other side it didn’t hurt as much. I managed to eat a bit of hospital food, and was finally discharged at 9pm once I had been to the toilet and got dressed etc. I’m not resting at the hotel and will be making the 3 hour journey home with my mammar and mum soon! The most important tips I would give if to drink as much water as possible to flush the general anaesthetic out your system! Also don’t be afraid to ask the nurse for anti sickness drugs, after eating some biscuits I started to feel sick but I told the nurse and she brought me a anti sickness injection which worked wonders!! (Did sting abit though as you have to have it in your bottom lol). Feel free to ask me any questions girls and I wills be uploading photos as soon as possible xxxx
