Hi girls

Went for my 1 week post op check today and not feeling too happy about everything..nurse was quite stern and unwelcoming and didn’t comment on my boobs at all, she didn’t even mention how my scars were doing whilst she was taking off my tape..I had to ask her. She then made a face and said not healing all that well so strips and tape on for another week. She also commented on how uneven the boobs currently are (I got 260 left and 300 right) even though my surgeon has constantly explained how long it can take for them to settle!

Argh! sorry to vent but we already all seem to have so many doubts/worries/concerns going through our heads with this surgery that leaving the clinic this morning left me feeling down and anxious I understand it is her job to be direct and tell me the truth but I just felt it could have been carried out in a different manner.

Hmmm it maybe her job to be direct but it’s not her job to be rude and grumpy when I’m sure you’re already feeling a bit fragile! Which clinic was this at hun? xx

awww hunni she sounds like b**** lol What clinic is that?mine didnt comment on my boobs either i wouldnt take offence to that they probs see so many. End of the day your surgeon knows best so her saying they was uneven is uncalled and id ignore her comment. Maybe complain to your pc how she made you felt? xxx

Ah that doesn’t sound very nice I wouldn’t like that it would make u feel really un easy , may b contact your pc and explain to her x

You have paid a lot of money for this, she could at least be civil and explain about the scars and healing etc. you aren’t a mind reader reader and need to know what’s going on.

Yeah it is her job. Exactly its her job and her job is to be informative and explaining things. Being honest in a polite way, thats what her job is, thats what she is being paid for! Pople that work in hospitals must be polite, understanding and patient. As is a very sensitive matter for people. Complain and make sure you see your doctor if you are worried. Hope all works out for you x

Aw thanks everyone..these forums always help me feel better! I won’t name and shame the clinic As apart from yesterday everyone has been fab! I’m just going to keep my head up and if I deal with her again take her with a pinch of salt! XX
