When did you all pay for your surgery? Now I’m more than happy not to as I’m having pips out and don’t feel I should have to. Transform will only do it half price tho!

All I’ve paid is £250 deposit for the op date. Last time I had it booked I had to pay at least 6 weeks prior to surgery.

I’m wondering if they are holding back my charge incase they are forced to do it free ( living in hope)

Be nice to know when u all are expected or have paid for yours

MYA posted this on facebook last week…so maybe you are getting them for free?

Please see the MYA Statement regarding PIP Implants: “MYA Cosmetic Surgery launched in the UK in June 2007. Since 2007 our principal implant provider has been the American company Allergan who have an excellent clinical record. Our records show that of over 12,500 implants used only 6 have ruptured.

On rare occasions we have used other implant providers but this has been in less than 1% of t…he surgical procedures that we have carried out. We only ever used a very small number of PIP implants and so our data is not statistically meaningful. We last used the implants in 2009. Of the 48 patients that have had PIP implants 4 implants have ruptured (4 of 96 implants). On each occasion we have replaced the implants free of charge and we will continue to do so.

We take patient care very seriously and so if any of our patients have any concerns then we will continue to quickly offer them the support and reassurance that they need. If a MYA patient has a ruptured PIP implant or they are distressed by the presence of a PIP implant then we will remove and replace the implants free of charge.

If any MYA patients are concerned we would ask them to contact us directly so that we can arrange for one of our highly experienced surgeons to explain all of their options to them. This will of course also be free of charge”.
