Hi girls, I’m 16 days po and am still wearing my steri strips on my incisions as the nurse at my 1 week po appointment said one of my incisions hasn’t closed completely yet and when I took them off after the week like she told me it still hadn’t closed so I rang the nurse and she said to leave more steri strips on for another week but when I have taken them off today there’s a bit of blood on them!! Is it normal for my incision to still not be closed properly and is it normal to get bits of blood from the incision??

    Thanks girls x

Hiya hun! I don’t know if can search back, but I had steri strips on for 5 weeks my scars were completelycloded but raw and red for the whole five weeks! As long as u have no infections or anything internally wrong u will be fine hun!

Mine did eventually heal and my nurse explained that some people heal slower than others!

my scars are great now just thin white lines!

I promise u it is normal and does happen to other people don’t worry to much hun xx
