17th April, 410cc Unders, Mario Russo, My Story :)

Hiya everyone, thought I should finally get round to sharing my story as reading everyone else’s really helped me

So on Monday afternoon me and my mom drove down to Preston and stayed overnight in the Ibis hotel which is literally 2 minutes away from Preston first trust hospital. On the journey up i read through all the paperwork the nurse and PC had given me in my consultations and pre-op and that was probably the first and only time i felt nervous!

That night I fell to sleep at 11pm and woke up at 1am! While I didn’t feel nervous i must have been because I woke up several times every hour until 5.30am when I decieded to get up and shower! Girls make the most of your pre-op shower because oh my god do i miss showering haha!

We got to the hospital about 7.15, i was just a day-case and my admission time was 7.30. I got shown to my room when the day staff arrived, and given a gown to change into. The room was basic and clean with a small TV and en-suite bathroom. The healthcare assistant Toni, came and took my blood pressure, weight and filled out some paperwork and gave me the lovely paper pants and stockings to wear. Then in came Mr Russo smelling gorgeous, he drew on me and took some photos -embarassingly I was wearing the paper pants ! He put me at ease with a joke, saying that by the time he was finished my cherry tattoo on my left boob(cringe i was 16) would look like melons ha!

The Dr came and introduced himself, listened to my heart etc. Then the aneathesiologist (i cant spell sorry!) then came and said hello and then before i knew it, it was 9.00 and the surgical nurse came in to take me to theatre.

I cannot even now believe how i had no nerves it was so strange! Her and the aneathatist spoke to me while they put me under and the next thing i know I was waking up in recovery shaking all over and freezing from the aneasthetic.

I had a bit of pain and it felt like someone was sat on my chest, so I had 2 codine. About an hour later the nurse bought me tea and toast. I was fine and chatty and they said it was like i hadn’t even had an operation! After a cheese salad sandwich another cup of tea and a few hours worth of monitoring they said i could go back to my hotel! I’m wearing a breast band at the moment which is quite uncomfortable but it’ll be worth it. I did buy 3 different sized sports bras from M&S but wont be able to wear them for 3 weeeks anyway!

At the hotel mom had to dress me (bless her) and even tuck me in because i couldnt pull the quilt up! Its amazing how much everything relies on your chest muscles.

I went to sleep at around 8pm and set an alarm for every 4 hours for painkillers. With a 2 and a half hour car journey home I wasnt gonna risk letting the pain get to me! I slept well and came home the next day with my new boobies !!

so thats my story!! not very exciting!!

The only thing i’ve had is after my antibiotics, i feel quite sick but if I eat it helps. I’ve found myself being quite tired too – BUT it’s only 3 days post-op so its okay i think! : )

I had 410cc unders from a 32B, i’m 7st 8lbs and 5ft3.

awww this story has put me at ease!! im going to preston to have mine too im with mr traynor though. glad it all went well! its all very exciting haha …one question though, how come you cant wear a sports bra for 3weeks? is that the same with everyone? im sure they told me to take one to hosp with me you see hah xx

Honestly hun, i dont want to jinx myself but so far its been a breeze really. It’s more annoying than painful, getting comfortable/being able to lift things etc.

Mario likes his patients to wear a breast band 24 hours a day for 3 weeks PO to help the implants drop quicker. I suppose you could wear a sports bra aswell but I really would rather have nothing on right now !!

Every surgeon is diffferent though, so just follow whatever your’s recommends xxxx

Aw lovely story hun i wrote an essay too dont worry lol. Know what u mean with not wanting to wear anything, i dont have a breast band but even the sports bras are mega uncomfy around my ribs! Happy healing babe xxx

Yes spoon that’s fine, they look quite small in my pics to what they are at the.mo but will add more pics over the next few days, I absolutely love them tho and am very happy, was adamant I wanted them natural n not too big with no ridges at the top and so far so good xx

hi, enjoyed reading your story you made it sound really easy and not stressful or nerve wracking at all! im going for my 1st consultation next friday, im currently an a cup but want to go to a D or D/D maybe, I know nothing about the size of implants at all so am trying to get abit more info about sizes and which surgeon is best for me, would it be ok to add you? Its nice to hear about others experiences and post op recovery, Jess x

I think its as stressful as you make it! Just be as prepared as possible & trust in your surgeon! They know what theyre doing! Feel free to add me hun & good luck with your consultation! xxxxxx
