Girls stories on here really helped me before my surgery, so here is a little catch up of my experience so far 🙂 any questions welcome! I am loving having my boobs – I will attach the pictures I have for you as I know this is what I was looking to see before my op. Especially petite girls out there.
MY STATS – 350cc round high profile under the muscle from a shrunken 32B only 5ft2 8.5 stone.
Newcastle with Julie as my PC – she was so lovely I would highly recommend her.
I was told I had to have unders due to low body fat and reduced boob size, so no choice there for me. Although results are looking great and I think it is the best decision in the long run. I will explain the recovery realistically below.
CHOOSING IMPLANT – I was told 350cc was the biggest I could have by Dr Traynor and was given the same advice from another surgeon I met so that’s the size I chose. 100% agree with all the girls saying pick the biggest size – I love my size and they are still swollen so a smaller implant would have been a disappointing choice. I can tell what they mean about fitting your body – if my implant was any wider it would just look weird. As much as I think I would love bigger boobs i’m delighted with my results so far.
PRESTON FIRST TRUST HOSPITAL – nurses were lovely and made my overnight stay comfortable. I would recommend staying overnight if you are getting under the muscle, my operation was late afternoon and there is no way I could have been ready to leave that night. All was okay when I woke up 🙂 but I had two moments where my blood pressure was really low and I almost fainted which were pretty bad and thankfully had the nurses there.
The general Dr guy was lovely and really made me feel comfortable and I trusted him and the anaesthetic Dr.
To be honest Dr Traynor himself was the only one that worried me a bit. Overall my results look good so far and obviously his surgery skills are the most important to me. But when he came in before the operation, told me the risks again and made me sign the agreement on 350ccs which we spoke about, he then proceeded to mark me with the black pen which was exciting :D. Then after he left I was looking down at my boobs and what he had written.. and he wrote the wrong number of CCs on my chest! In black marker he had written 300 cc … which worried me of course! Everyone makes mistakes I understand, but that could have been a major fuck up if I hadn’t looked and noticed his mistake. I told the nurse when she came back in and she said that it is another part of the medical team that prepare the implants so she best tell them it’s 350 and not 300! Thankfully the first trust Drs were really nice and got it sorted and got Dr Traynor to come back in as I was getting my needle in my arm to be put to sleep. He just joked about it and said it was my fault, and he was eating something as he walked into the theatre to fix the drawing on my chest :O I wasn’t very impressed with that at all. But I just had to trust that he is a good surgeon and i’ve seen lots of you girls with lovely results from him. So I stayed calm and off to sleep for my op 😀 excited to have boobs.
I was just a bit worried by his carelessness at times and was just hoping that he is more delicate and careful when it comes to surgery!
POD1 – The hardest part was my very long drive home! I live in Edinburgh and had to go to Preston for surgery so it was a very very long, uncomfortable and sore drive home which I really would not recommend to any of you girls. 3 hours of driving holding my aching boobs with my padded jacket to try to stop them moving with the car – oh it was really bad. I was mainly scared that the bumps in the road bouncing them could damage something. It was rubbish 🙁 i’d say try avoid more than an hours drive max to your surgery.
Honestly the first day was A LOT WORSE than I expected – more the muscle tightness and pain from that which really made it a struggle to move my upper body at all as you really don’t normally realise how much your chest muscles are connected to everything upperbody wise! Lol literally you will find yourself shuffling around in bed trying to get up the first few days. If you put your hand down to try and help yourself up it just instantly hurts too much in your chest so you immediately stop as obviously don’t want to damage anything. This is what was worse for me the first few days that I hadn’t really realised. I can handle pain okay so lying still in bed was totally fine – but trying to get up and having to use my upper body always put strain on my chest and hurt badly and worried me that I was going to hurt something as it felt wrong pushing! So just be prepared for this if you’re getting unders and have a loved one around to help you the first couple of days.
POD4 – starting to feel more mobile and had my first shallow bath which was nice. Covered my boobs with a plastic bag which looked ridiculous lol but wanted to be extremely careful not to splash any water near the incisions. Obviously I have kept my Macom on the entire time too.
MACOM Experience has been great – I would highly recommend. It keeps them safely and tightly in the bra and you can just concentrate on healing. It wasn’t until after my first bath I changed into my other Macom bra which was exciting and a little scary. They still feel kind of like they are heavy and going to fall off lol such a strange feeling but so nice to see them. So big and round compared to before which really made me smile. Luckily no bruising (i’ve taken arnica) and the dressings still look clean. I have found sleeping surprisingly easy which I wasn’t expecting. Having plenty of pillows to prop myself up has been comfortable and since my body is so tired I have fallen asleep easily. The Macom hasn’t even felt uncomfortable or irritating like some girls mentioned – I like that it is tight and is keeping the new boobies safely strapped in! ha
1 WEEK PO – Now i’m almost at a week post op and i’m much more able to do things myself 🙂 which is awesome! And peaking at my boobs just puts such a big smile on my face, they look so nice and round. I think I would have happily had bigger, but this is the most they offered me so i’m happy with them so far. They don’t look fake at all and if I have a hoodie on you literally can’t tell any difference which is nice for day to day.
POD8 – 1st check up with the nurse – less than 30 minute appointment where she took off my dressings. This wasn’t too bad, it felt like a wax strip being ripped off to be honest – so us girls can handle it! She wiped everything which stung a bit and felt my boobs a bit to check everything was okay and then replaced the dressings. Took some pics and that was it really. The nurse was a spanish lady from the Manchester clinic who was quite direct, I think she was in a rush to get home. To be fair she did everything she needed to, just didn’t make me feel that reassured. And I had just travelled all the way from Edinburgh! Have to go back next Thursday for my next check up. The nurse said I should wear my Macom for the 6 weeks – but I have seen a lot of chat on here about the M&S high impact sports bras so I think i’ll take them to my next check up and ask if that nurse thinks they are good to wear.
If any of you girls have more advice on bras to wear as the weeks progress i’d really appreciate it 🙂 I mainly want to keep my boobs sitting nice and perky and held in place while they heal lol!
POD9 – Feeling very mobile and happy with my boobs! Got my hair washed at a salon and blow dried which was lovely. It sucks not being able to shower. Just shallow baths for another week 🙁 but it’s worth it for boobs!
Sorry for the long post – just thought i’d share everything since it’s worth it if it helps any of you girls post op 🙂 Maddy xxx
They look insane ! I’ve got my surgery with dr traynor and seeing the results you’ve had just makes me even more excited !!
That’s a set to be proud of !!x
Aw thanks Sarah I really appreciate that 🙂 no one has really seen them yet! I kept them tightly in my Macom for the first week so it’s nice to see them myself actually.
Good luck for surgery 🙂 don’t worry you’ll be great. I see you’re getting overs – honestly the pain of the incisions and the implants is not bad at all, it was just the muscle tightness that really killed me. So hopefully you have an easy as possible recovery. Lots of great results from Dr Traynor 🙂 x
What an amazing detailed post, so so helpful thank you! You’re boobs look amazing by the way 🙂 x
They look amazing! Thanks for sharing all of this! I’m a bit worried though as I’ll have a two and a half hour journey home from London to Suffolk, but they have no hospitals nearer :/ just hope my mum can drive smoothly haha xx
This is so helpful and they are gorgeous!! Xx
Aw don’t worry @francescajd the second you get home and lay down in bed you’ll be happy 🙂 maybe just take a pillow or something padded to hold over your boobs as it’s the bumps in the road that hurt and going round corners and roundabouts. Just because everything is so tender and the muscles are fucked if you’ve had Unders lol! I’d recommend stopping a couple times on the journey for nice food and to take a break 🙂 but to be honest the worst part of the journey for me was worrying something may damage them and I made it 200 miles back with lots of bumpy roads :O and boobs are perfectly fine – so you’ll be okay ???? Just stay calm and take all your pain killers on time xxx
@clairej777 thank you so much, that’s so kind of you 🙂
They’re amazing! I would love mine to turn out like that that is exactly what I’m aiming for. I have my consultation with mr traynor on Monday evening and my surgery is on the 28th of march. I have found this post extremely helpful. Thankyou very much for posting this xxxxx
They look amazing xx
They look really great – I had my post op last night and was told to wear ms sports bra in day but to sleep in macom at night. I was also told I could shower so had first shower and washed my hair this morning 7 days post op. It was a dream to put my macom back on a little while ago actually hehe the ms sports bra was digging my arms due to how im sitting I think. x
Thanks for your help Sabrina @aaaangell that’s interesting to hear different advice from different nurses! Mine was pretty straight with her advice of 6 weeks macom bra and strictly zero exercise – she didn’t give me any options when I tried to ask lol. Thanks I think i’ll try my M&S bra during the day and see how it is. I do like how the macom just holds them in and I don’t need to worry about them. I just wonder which type of sports bra will keep our new boobs sitting in the perfect position and shape – seems like macom squashes them a bit lol.
That’s so nice you got the all clear to shower already 🙂 have you already got your dressings off? My nurse told me I would have to come back next week and get them checked – possibly even reapplied if they haven’t healed enough which would still mean no shower :O x
Hi yes had no dressings as surgeon uses waterproof glue – they the incisions look great. She said I can rub them gently now ( to help all glue come off I think) but I tried and made me feel faint lol as I thought oh god watif I shouldn’t and it opens them. So will wait another week. Yes all the different advice lol – my friend who
Had hers in Belgium didn’t wear any type of special bra at all x I love my macom too I feel safe in it x I defo wear as long as poss – don’t pay all this money for neglecting the little things x hope your days gone well x

Thank you for your advice Maddy! Hope your recovery goes well xxx
Thanks girls 🙂 I’m POD11 now and feeling much better! I’ll try attach an update pic so you can see what the size is like on my body for anyone trying to decide. I was deflated 32B before surgery, but had actually been a 32DD in the past when I was chubbier. Although feeling quite fat at the moment not being able to go to the gym 🙁 but defintily worth it for our boob results <3 x
Yea of course 🙂 happy to help with any questions too x
Fab post! They look amazing!!! I’ve added you if that’s ok. My surgery is on the 23rd Feb so it long now! xx
Maddy they look great you must be so pleased. I have my pre op on Wednesday and surgery Fri 24th feeling the nerves now. It’s comforting reading other posts with similar stats. Has the pain eased up? x
Looking great Hunni ,, this has helped me so much I go to Preston on the 15th March and get the same as yourself am only a 32b at the moment so you putting this post up had be a god send to me I feel more at ease now thank you xx
they’re great!! 🙂 what ml do you have in your lips? they look good as well 🙂
They look amazing!!! Did you have unders or overs? Xxx
Ignore my question lol didn’t read the full title lol
Thank you @elizabeth101 happy to help 🙂 yes the pain is so much better now – in my second week i’ve been off pain killers and its okay. Incisions sting a bit sometimes and still struggle a bit with heavy doors, but overall feeling a lot better. But been back to work Monday & Tuesday, i’ve been okay, but noticed my boobs feel very hot towards the end of the day which is a bit worrying :O has anyone else experienced this? Worried about swelling xx
Oh that’s great @paulaxxjay I loved seeing pics of girls with the same stats and surgeon as me before my surgery as it helps put your mind at ease for what to expect! Don’t worry yours will be great 😀 xx
Excellent post, and they look great.
Thanks for sharing your experience. x
Thank you @holliebaker 🙂 i don’t have any lip fillers, just the boobies lol thanks though xx
Oh wow well they look really nice either way! 🙂
16 Days Post Op – finally dressings off and allowed to shower! 😀 I think they are starting to drop & fluff? Although I really hope they heal as perky as possible! Does anyone have any advice for this?
One side the bruising is really dark under my boob above the incision, although can’t see it fully in the pic sorry. Overall the scar placement looks pretty good so Thankyou Dr Traynor!!
Been wearing my Macom all the time so far. I tried buying the M&S sports bra recommended on here but once I got home the 32D was too tight especially around my incisions and the 34D was a bit large and unsupportive. Think I’ll have to go back and try on more 🙂 any recommendations would be amazing! Thankyou xxx
They look so good! Bet you’re so happy.. it felt so good when I got my first shower after my op haha 🙂 xxx
Looking great love can’t wait to get mine done not long now 20 days will Send you a few pics when am all done thanks for your post and put me at ease Hunni xx
They look amazing! Got my op with mr traynor booked for 5th April and reading your post has got me so excited! I’d be over the moon with results like yours xx
They look amazing!! It’s great how much they have dropped and fluffed ❤️ Your literally the exact same stats as me! Ive been offered the same with dr Traynor I’m so undecided between 325cc & 350cc I’m just worried they will look fake if they’re too big but I also don’t want to be disappointed if they’re too small it’s such a hard decision!
Love love love your post so detailed! So excited after reading this! I’m booked in 10th may! 🙂
Wow they look amazing! I’m having mr Traynor at the end of march … did you drive home yourself the next day or did someone have to pick you up? Xx
What a great wee post! I’ve had 520cc with Dr Mario 5 years ago. I’m booked in with Dr Traynor for 8th March for 350cc and after seeing yours I think they’re going to be too small for me… Now I’m in a right wee panic. (Ps yours look great, I look like Jodie effing marsh the now so think it’ll be too big a drop.) arghhh so confused now whether to just cancel my op ????????????
Great to read all of your posts. I’m 7 days PO and going to have stitches out today. Still feel painful but I suppose it’s to be expected. My boobs are numb and although I’m told it normal I haven’t read much about it on the forum. Can someone please reassure me. I had 350cc under with Mr Marcellino.
Thank you
Oh my god, they are literally perfect !! Congrats, bet your so happy.
Also helped me out with your detailed post. Hope you heal very well xxx
Maddy, thanks for your post, I am going to BA on 15th of April and your advices are so useful! My best friend was on OP last year and she worn Macom too and she was so disappointed. She says me it was very uncomfy. I heard a lots of good reviews on lipoelastic bra. Is here anyone who has their bra?
Hi Chiara, yes I worn postoperative bras from lipoelastic and was very satisfied. Check it out http://eshop.lipoelastic.co.uk/products/compression-bras/pi-special-comfort – this bra is so comfy! And after two weeks I bought another one http://eshop.lipoelastic.co.uk/products/compression-bras/pi-unique-comfort in pink colour. Love it!!! I wore it to the gym and it is much better than sport bra and looks sexy! The main thing, my boobs feel very comfortable ☺
They look amazing congrat!!! What size Macom bra did you get as you’ve had them same implant size that I’m getting and roughly the same size as me?! Xxx
Maddy, can you do a progress photo for March pretty please!! 🙂
You’ve got pretty much the same stats as me! I had my done yesterday I’m over the moon, I’ll attach a photo..
Could I ask please, what size m&s bra did you get? Xxxx
Left is yesterday about 11 hours after op, and right is today!! Xx
