Is this normal ladies? The skin on my cleavage seems to look like its coming away from my chest? Its very painful!! Also very swollen everywhere! Including my stomach and back!
The swelling can be quite normal honey,it differs for everyone but if you are concerned ring your nurse and have a chat,I am sure she will be able to reassure you.xx
I had that hun, was horrid, my skin totally lifted up from my chest wall, I could feel fluid moving about too. It totally goes though so don’t panic
xx
Oh thats good I was horrified yesterday when I took my bra off and saw it! suppose its just a natural reaction from your body! At first I thought I was going to get a uni-boob!!! How long until it goes??? I want them to settle down , they are so swollen and pointy at the mo!! x
Erm, my swelling in between started to go around the 7 day mark, and I’d say at about day 10 it was totally back to normal, it’s just because your skin there has been stretched with your implants, and essentially the skin has to be stretched there to allow room for them, so once that’s happened the skin relaxes and the swelling goes
Don’t worry, it’s normal. As for the pointy boobs, mine weren’t pointy really so I can’t comment as to how long that takes to go, but it will. Just try not to look at them all the while(like I do) because it can make you depressed. Try and keep them covered up and not check them all the time. Then you might be pleasantly suprised when you do take a peek xx
good advice ginag84! I cant stop looking at mine, have to have a sneak everytime i go past a mirror at home! My swelling was the same as ginag84, started to go between 7-10 days, i thought i’d got fat with the amount of swelling on my back and tummy underneath my boobs, i measured 38 back in the first week, by week two i was 30/32 back! x
Mine was horrendous! I was really worried about mine. But they are fine now. It’s just a part of the healing process xx
Natalie and gina thanks for clearing that up for me. I too keep thinking have I put on weight in just 2 days? I feel so frumpy. Cant wait for this swelling and bloating to go now. X Thanks again ladies x
No worries hun, I felt like a pufferfish wobbling around for about 10 days after. I was dying to weigh myself to see how much I’d put on with all the bloating, but I didn’t as I knew it would depress me lol! I’m back to my normal weight now 3 weeks post op, I weigh about 2 or 3 pounds more than I did do though and I can’t seem to shift it. I think it might be my implants lol, I mean, they do weigh something when you hold them in your hands in the consultation so they must add weight to the body once inside! At least that’s what I’m telling myself anyway ha ha ha! xx
