Hey guys,
Just to let you know I am now 2 days post op and have just managed to have a shallow bath and wash/dry my hair with no problems at all (and by myself!). Still not taking any painkillers, so very happy about that! Just waiting for the swelling to come down a bit now…

awww bet that made you feel a bit better hun
that was the worse thing i can remember, not being able to have a shower straight away! Take it easy, Tammy x
blimey! You are truely hard as nails, I’m also 2 days post-op and I’m not even opening doors! Good on you, girly, put us all to shame! Best wishes and speedy recovery (although sounds like you have it covered) xx
Hi Smallen,
If it helps I’m a little worried as to why I’m not in any pain!!! Also whether I should be doing these things, but I kinda figure that if it doesn’t hurt then it’s ok? I’m trying to take it easy as I don’t want to mess up the final results!
Hard as nails is hilarious though, wish that were actually true!

Oh and does anyone have any advice for the swelling? I know rest and sleeping upright (and I know I’m only 2 days post op) but I’m getting impatient!
Xx
I’m impatient, too. Can we put ice on them? I want to know what I’ll look like!
I reckon do as little as possible. Maximum exersion should be feeding the ducks xx
They gave me ice packs at the hospital but I didn’t like the cold… My mum just offered me a bag of frozen sprouts…!!! Might give it a go though. Do you know how long the swelling lasts? I really want them to start settling so I can see how they’re going to look!

I’m gonna try some ice tomorrow, I think. When I went to pick my size there was a lady there one week post-op and she was saying that she was still very swollen so I think we just have to play the waiting game. I got myself a new top/dress thingy the day before my op and I’m dying to just try it against myself to get an idea of what it’ll be like. I’ve got a teach yourself French course to keep me busy. It’s not working. I want to dress up and be girly! xx
I know how you feel! The support bras aren’t exactly sexy either… I might try some ice too, it won’t hurt to give it a go. I’m on the DVD boxsets but I’m starting to get cabin fever!!! Xxx
Hey girls, a few ways to reduce swelling is applying ice packs a few times a day for 20 minutes, drinking plenty of water and a healthy diet and compression garments. Just read up about it now! Happy healing! xxx
Thanks Michelle, will give it a go. Have found I’m quite thirsty anyway so drinking plenty, and wearing the macom bra. Ice packs tomorrow it is then! Xxx
My macom bra was too small for me! My other half went to tesco and bought me DD sports bra!! Happy healing lovely xxx
You too hon!
