Hi Girls i had my BA on Friday with Dr Singh at Highgate – i am in so much pain – my back and ribs feel like they’re being compressed its horrible – also they look a really odd shape at the moment and i have so much swelling on my shoulders, chest and back – is this normal and how long does it take to get back to some sort of normality? I had overs by the way (over 800cc so large but had large empty breats to begin with)any advise would be great. Thanks xxx

    Hi Lornalou

Ah bless you mate. I had my BA nearly 3 weeks ago and I didn’t really have any pain. It was more uncomfortable really but bearable. I didn’t even have to take any pain killers. It was day 3 and 4 that I started feeling pretty good. 800cc is big so I guess that could be why. Ring your nurse though if it’s that bad just to be on the safe side.

Have you took any photo’s would love to see them :) xx

Lornalou- I had my BA on 11 Aug and had to call the nurse on Friday morning due to severe pain on my right boob(heavy, sharp, ripping pain & feels like there is a hot liquid flowing). The nurse (Joan)has been great and helped my cope my back pains and shoulder stiffness…she suggested a hot water bottle to be placed between my shoulder blades, a back massage and to relax my shoulder and myself in general. Take plenty fluids too and fruits, co dydramol gave me severe constipation. I could swear, with all the pain on my front… pain on my bum was not helping especially as we use our bum to cope with sleeping. It was a nightmare. 😳

Don’t hesitate to call the helpline, you’ll be surprised how helpful MYA team is.

thanks for all your help and advise girlies i’m now 3 full days post op and feeling a lot better than i did – like you say keepmesweet the worst thing is the back pain – because i had large implants i feel like the pressure and weight is crushing my ribs and spine but luckily my boyf has been fantastic and giving me back and shouldere massages – i think this also helps with trying to move the fluid. I feel like they are still huge at the moment – very pointy and still so swollen – how long does it normally take for them to soften enough to push together and give a good cleavage? xx
