2 weeks PO and right scar not healed :( Started by: clor

    had my op on the 19th Jan and everything was going fine. I went for my check up 1 week after and the nurse said my scars were healing well…iv had steri strips on them so my bra doesnt rub but iv just noticed my right scar has opened up slightly..its not bleeding alot but if i wipe it with some tissue, there’s blood on that! iv just rang the out ot hours nurse and someone is going to ring me tomorrow but im kinda worried…any help? xx

    Just keep it covered and clean honey try not to disturb it until the nurse calls you back with instructions,and also try not to worry,I know its easy for me to say when Im not in your position,but you have contacted the nurse which was the best thing for you to do,did the person you spoke to not give you instructions,Im assuming if they were on the out of hours telephone they were a nurse.xxx

    she just said keep it covered with a clean dressing and someone will be in contact with me tomorrow xx
