Is anyone else having their BA 21st at Preston?
Was set on having my BA with transform but the dates didn’t really work with uni and MYA offered me this date (perfect with dr traynor).
After my consultation I left feeling deflated as he didn’t seem to offer much knowledge surrounding the shape of my breast (slightly tubuler) like Dr Clarke did. He also seemed rushed, but I half expected this from reading the forum.
I was wondering if anyone could share their stories regarding Mr Traynor, the hospital at Preston (I’m a student nurse so would like to know more) and 375-400cc HP OVERS. It would be even more helpful if your shape was similar to mine.
Appreciate everything girls, pre op later today wish me luck!!

Hi, I went to both transform and MYA. I didn’t get to the surgeon consultation with transform as I myself am slightly tubular and when I asked who they would recommend they did say Mr Clark but then continued on to say they couldn’t fit me in with him for a while and just basically wanted to fit me in with anyone asap which I didn’t like.

My consultation with Mr Traynor was blunt and to the point, he confirmed to me about me being tubular and what the sizing I could have which ranged from 300-350 saying that I should have high profile overs as the overs could possibly (not guaranteed) get rid of the high crease that I had from being tublar, he said that it may not disappear as it’s been sitting there for years. I think he’s just honest and to the point not giving you any false hope but the truthful outcomes. I didn’t really ask any questions more as I just took his word for it. I am only 6 Days post op so not had a chance to have a look at them yet.
You can add me if you like, good luck with your pre op. The nurses are reassuring! Xxx

Hi becky. Yes In the consultation Dr Clarke was great, but I have read some reviews on him being lovely to get the sale, heard bad stuff about aftercare for both companies tbh. Yes he recommended the same for mine I suggested the 375 as this is what I was offered at transform. Are you in much pain hun? And did he recommend any bra in particular. Been told I can have a second consult with him 13th March were he is supposed to be more informative. Will let you know more later, really appreciate the reply, sent you a fr xxx

I’ll be really honest, I initially fell in love with MYA from my consultation with my PC, I was still happy up to my consultation with Mr Traynor/Pre op with the nurse and overall I am happy but it’s true what they say, as soon as they have your sale their not really that fussed after that, but I’m not sure whether that’s just what MYA are like as in they don’t really do much pesting it’s more if you want it well let you have a think and get back to us (well that’s how I found it anyway). My pre op was amazing, the nurse was great and the whole op day and everything was brill which I suppose is the most important overall.
Pain: I had imagined that I would be in much more pain then what I’ve been in… I’ve just been sore, achy and stiff. I think the worst thing is the side affects from all the drugs, making you constipated and feel sick. I just took lactalose to help go to the loo and made sure I ate before I took my antibiotics which it doesn’t say to but helps loads.

    Tips:
    – Make sure you get a v pillow.
    – I’d consider taking arnica which is a herbal tablet that is meant to help with swelling and bruising, I feel it has done it’s job.
    – Make sure you’ve got someone who’s committed to looking after you for the first week or so.
    – I was reccomended bras from mostly Macom, M&S, New Balance bras from TKMAX. I did consider buying from else where but went with Macom as thats what most people recommend and it’s a surgical bra…

Yea sure, if you need anymore info just let me know. Hopefully I’ll be brave enough to show my before and after pictures xx

    Hi Gabrielle

I had Mr Traynor based on my sisters experience with him. I had 2 consultations with him and yes he isn’t very talkative but I really liked him. I had my surgery on 14th Feb and so far so good. I have some pics on my profile. I had 350cc unders and the recovery has been really good.

It was my nurse who recommended the bras and she recommended the Macom – honestly this has been so comfy. I bought 2 so I could wash one and wear one.

The hospital at Preston is lovely. I arrived at 11am and was taken down for surgery at 12:30. I was discharged at 5.45pm. The staff were all lovely and I have a blood clotting issue and the doctors were really good making sure I had extra treatment to make sure I didn’t get DVT. The facilities were great, my partner stayed all day.

The service from my PC and the clinic hasn’t been amazing but they are really just sales I was more bothered about the Dr and Nurse and they have been fab. I saw Charlotte (nurse) at Manchester for Pre Op and Post Op appointment and she has been amazing.

    Hi gabrielle.

I also had a consult with Dr Clark and he was lovely, also said i was slighly tubular and to have overs. But i could never find any upto date reviews on him which put me off.
Dr Traynor has loads of great reviews and although he didnt speak much in my initial consult (granted i didnt ask muc and jist listened) he offered me overs ranging from 300-400cc.
I have since booked with him for 3rd May.

I found transform not to be as caring as MYA. My PC Aimee (leeds) is lovely and always checks in with process and seeing if i have any further questions etc… i never neard anything from transform after my consult with the PC until the day before my surgeon consult.
MYA deffinately have better people skills and seems to be interested in helping you figure out what will work for you xx

    Hey Gabrielle,
I’m having my BA at Preston on the 21st at Preston so I may see you there!
I noticed at my consultation mr traynor is a man of very few words, but his work looks amazing and I think that totally compensates for it! I’m really excited! I’m having 350 CC unders (highest offered to me)and I’m a size 8 5 foot 4 xxxxxxx

It felt very awkward as he doesn’t say much however I totally trust him he knows what he’s doing he has over 20 years experience I’ve been reading up on him x I can’t wait x and yes definately will let you know as soon as I know. The nurse told me last week at my pre op I won’t find out what time my op is at until 2-3 days before which is quite bizarre ! Xxxxxxx
