2wks to go wat do i need

just two weeks left to go before i go in for surgery with mr singh. Im going to be a daycase so any advice on what i need will be very much appreciated xxx

Hiya Mandy! I had an overnight stay, but I can tell you what I took with me – comfortable pj’s; slippers; a book/mag to read; couple of diff size sports bras (just guessed at size to be honest with you, absed on what I was b4 surgery); my mobile (of course!)undies, toiletries; etc. I also took my pc’s numbers, just incase I needed to speak to her about anything.

Hi Mandy, I took everything I thought I’d need (like you would if you stayed at a hotel overnight). I can tell you that other than the magazines, I didn’t use anything! I was in so much pain the day after, my boyfriend dressed me and helped me brush my teeth and we went straight home. I didn’t do my hair or make up and didn’t wear the PJ’s I’d bought.

I had taken my V pillow with me which did help a little but I just couldn’t get comfortable and trying to ‘hutch’ up the bed was near on impossible!

Just to warn you (cos I wish someone had with me) the ride home in the car is agony, especially when you hit a pothole lol!

I’m now 3 weeks post op and am impressed with how they look but I just wish someone had advised me of the pain cos it isn’t what I was expecting.

I don’t want to scare you but brace yourself, especially if it’s under the muscle!

Yep, borrowed one of those pillows from my friend. They do help, but I’m 2 weeks (tomorrow) post op and am finding it a pain to fall asleep let alone sleep upright. Mine were under the muscle, so whether that’s got anything to do with the aching, I don’t know. Still abit sore around the sides of mine and if I do happen to wake up, I’m usually on mine side and they ache a little then. Be glad to get this bloody sports bra off though (still got 4 weeks to go wearing them apparently), it’s killing me, however does give me a nice look.

Hoping to see stiches out this Thrs and get this damm boob dressing off!! x x

PS:: By the way, Jill’s right about the pot holes!!!!!! LOL x

hi mandyjohnson i have my ba in two weeks time too-14th july. im very excited but im freaking out about giving up smoking lol. i don’t smoke over ten a day, but now its getting closer im finding harder lol. xx 🙄

im finding the smoking hard too, ive got it on the 16th and the idea of stopping is terrifying me.. x

Hi Girls!

Im 4 weeks post op tomorrow, the V pillow has been my best friend!! Very annoying and uncomfy at first but you get used to it and its great… i still use it now and i dont even have too ha! I only baught a pillow for the car journey home to cover my boobs for the seatbelt (the girls are right the journey home over potholes is torture!), My mobiley phone, slippers and a dressing gown. I watched jermey kyle so there was no need for magazines! xx
