Hey girls thought I’d write a post to let you know how everything went for me.
The day of surgery, I was nervous and excited. My boyfriend came with me but my mum was so upset she wasn’t there so left work early to come also lol. I was sharing a room with Jessica and her admission time was early so she was just getting ready to go down as I came in.
By the time she came back it was my turn! And of course my mum started crying so then I was flooding in the water works too!
Once I was in theatre they put me straight to sleep, I think they knew how nervous I was (still crying) and then I was out for hours.
When I woke up I just felt very weak, and kept drifting in and out of sleep.
Eventually they told me I had to stay in over night which at first I was so against but then my mum told me it’ll be fine and decided it was the right choice. I couldn’t even get up to use the en suite so they had to bring me one of those toilets on wheels aha lost all my dignity! But it was fine.
Didn’t get to see Max Marcellino that evening as he was busy so don’t even know which size he went with, but I’m currently in a 36C sports bra, when I was a 30AA so I’m happy aha!
I’m now fine at home, still lots of chest and back pain but today is the first day I can move my arms more and I’ve managed to feed myself! Achievement! Aha.. Slowly slowly but keeping positive. I’ll upload pictures to my profile so feel free to add or ask questions! Xxxx
