Contact your nurse honey and ask her if she can recommend an over the counter alternative for your pain killers and a mild laxative,at least then you have taken medical advise, as what suits one person may not be good for another honey, big hugs hope you feel better soon.xx

Co-dydramol will make you constipated, so if you can, stop taking it. Did they give you diclofenac? If your not an asthmatic then change the co-dydramol to paracetamol and diclofenac. Drink plenty of water and eat loads of fruit and veg to help soften your stools (try prunes or prune juice, it’s known to help get things moving in the right direction!). If it doesn’t help then you might need to take a stool softener like senacot, laculose or fybrogel. For the bloating you can try peppermint water/peppermint tea. Hope that helps?! Xxx

I’m a midwife, so that’s just the advise I would give to women who have just had their baby or has just had a caesarean section. You should speak to your nurse as she should know your medical history and if you do have asthma you shouldn’t be taking diclofenac! Hope you feel better soon!! Xxxx
