Hi girls, am almost 3 wks post op from by BA and whilst the pain has been replaced by sensitivity in the boob area, I have notice that I now have very sore ribs. Not sure if it’s the ribs themselves or the muscles but the ones just a bit further below the crease of the boobs is really quite sore and painful to touch. Has anyone else had this? I’m no longer using my core muscles to move myself about in bed so cannot think why this pain would have suddenly started. Anyone else had this?

Im 3 weeks post op today and although I dont have pain to touch my rib cage / crease under my boobs,I do occasionally get shooting pains or nerve pain (I think). I suppose you ve got to remeber that your muschle is pulled off your rib cage and stretched a lot, It will take at least 6-8 weeks for it to go possibly ? It just depends on your body and how well your body deals with internal bruising ? xx

Hi, I’m just over three weeks post op and I have the same thing. I am not worried about it at all as I know it is purely muscle damage. These things take a while to recover and as you no longer have the bad boob pain you are noticing this more. Mine was actually bruised too, this has gone down now but it still is sore to touch! Have yours settled at all yet? How soft are they? I can not wait to get a proper bra on now!! These bra’s are so ugly lol xx

Yeah I’ve been getting rib pain, although i had overs and only day 4 PO so it looks like I’ve got more to come! Taking off the tape that went round my boobs was agony as I felt like I’d cracked a rib. I’ve cracked a rib before falling onto a plant pot when not at my best lol and I can tell you it ain’t no play in the park!

    Are you bruised? Xx

Hey Princess. Although I didn’t have this I would say it sounds pretty normal when you think about all the pushing and shoving they do to get the implants in. You’re only 3 weeks post op so will still feel tender. Plus all the resting up is bound to stiffen your muscles too! How are you boobs looking now? Any changes? I’ve been having a good moan this morning but the girls have made me feel better xx

Your body’s adapted to having tender, healing boobies. I had aching shoulders and sides for a good few weeks after my BA, just from the change in movement and manouvering yourself differently. Just give your body time hun x

Thanks girls, feel so much better now, I think you’re right, now the initial pain has gone I’m just noticing the smaller things that I didn’t notice before. I have no physical bruising but it does feel like that, I am not the worlds best healer so it’s prob just that. No change still with the boobies, they still look like they did day 1, although they are getting softer. The incisions are healing well too, and are even less itchy than normal. The last 2 days I have def started to feel hunan again, if only this last niggle would go! Am sure it won’t be long tho, the nurse called me a little while ago after seeing my post, and said the same thing as you all, so can just relax now and wait for the changes to happen (whenever that may be lol!)
