Hi girls. Tomorrow I am 3 weeks PO. I am feeling so drained. Have I gone back to work too soon? I work in an office with alot of stress. I had a family crisis and had my 6yr old twin Grandaughters over the wknd. My boobs are still high and very hard. If I do anything they swell and I am in pain and get hot and cold flushes. I am going to see my GP tomorrow PM and my surgeon on Wednesday. Hope to get signed of for the rest of the week, but feel guilty as we have alot of work on. But I dont think I am doing myself any favours. Is it just me? Thanks girls. xx

I am 3 weeks Weds, personally I don’ work at the mo but there’s no way I’d have been able to go back before now, in fact I’m still taking it very easy. I didn’t realise how much this op would take out of me, have been v run down and have been really glad of not having to rush into doing anything. Don’t feel guilty about work, you clearly need more recovery time and it’s time you won’t get back once it’s gone, let your body heal properly, work will be there when you’re ready to go back x

Julie only just read this after sending u message .. On my two weeks off I had energy wad up early everyday 6am !! I went back to work last monday and although Im not in pain just boobie ache I’m sleeping for England so tired it has knocked me for six going back to work .., I’m a waitress and do 10 hour shifts simedays so on my feet all day which normally isn’t a problem .. All I can think is I must still be recovering .. Do what u think is best for u if u need more time off take it work will manage without u .. Xx

I’ve just put up a message and Im 3 weeks post op tomorrow, Im feeling ok but I think I have to be with 2 children to look after and I work 3 days a week, I had to keep motivated. I think I still have a bit of swelling mostly on my right and my scars are still a bit scabby. Like you aswell I would like mine to be a bit more softer and drop as I think mine are still high, I will hopefully put some pics up later (In work right now !) xxx

Totally agree with all the above girls! You won’t get this time back to recover. If you don’t take it easy and have a complication you will need more time off anyway plus further stress to your body which could have otherwise been avoided if you just taken some well deserved me time :) When I had my op my partner was talking to this girl outside who had her op 4 weeks a go and had to go back for another op as she had a haematoma because she was hoovering! It’s not worth the risk babe!

Take it easier and don’t expect too much of yourself. You don’t want to regret it xx

Take the time off hun and rest, there is nothing work can do about it if you have a doctors paper, they’ll get over you having time off. Stressing your going to make yourself ill and prolong recovery. xxx
