3rd day post op, can't stop sleeping!

Hi girls, I had my op on Friday, I’m feeling quite well on my third day, taking all medicines as prescribed so pretty much pain free, but I’m just soo sleepy all the time! I slept all night, and most of the day, is this normal? I guess it might be the effect of medicines( I’ve been given painkillers, antibiotics and antiinflammatories). I’ve been under GA twice on Friday due to a complication I had, do you think this may have anything to do wit all that drowsiness?

i was the same hun, slept on/off day and night for the 1st 4 days, my bladder also went to sleep couldnt pee properly untill day 5 lol.

dont worry just enjoy the rest your body obviously needs it. xx

deffo the GA and the pain meds make u drowsy, i cudnt keep my eyes open, dont worry tho coz ur body heals when ur sleeping an its good 4 ur immune system so jus enjoy it x happy healing

I was the same, I slept non-stop for 5 days. But by day 7 I was back to my old self and I swear it was all the sleeping that helped my recovery. You will heal while you’re sleeping so it’s good hun x

I was exactly the same, took the same meds as u & they wiped me out for the first week. But its good becos u heal when you’re resting x

I’m on the same meds & feel tired very quickly too so i’m just enjoying the break! 😉

I was exactly the same I slept and slept xx my PC said it was totally normal
