When did u post op girls stop sleeping with bra on?
I’m 4 weeks post op and did not wear it last night and not gonna tonight! I find it really uncomfy at night and wake up throughout the night to move it about or pull it from under my boobs! Lastnigjt I decided to try without last night as it was rubbing on scars, I slept great and felt fine!
Will it do any harm?
I slept in my sports bra till I was 7 weeks, and since then have always slept in a secret support vest to give them some support. Be interested to know what everybody else has done? x
hi carmel, i’m 4 weeks post op too and have had a couple of nights without it, but i went to bed rather drunk though lol, i cannot remember how long i have to keep wearing them at night for
hi carmel i had mr adamo on 23rd march he tells u not to bother with bra at all but i bought 2 macom bras because i like the support but i dont wear them at night and have no problems are u still sleeping upright i still use my v pillow but slid down at night afraid to try sleeping on my side yet though xxx
Tammy that’s what I did last night I wore a tight vest top which felt loads better! I need to get one with the secret support!
Jayne I thought it was around 6 weeks but dont know if that’s set in stone!
I slept upright for about 4 nights then slept on my back for about another 10 nights but have been sleeping on my side for last 2 weeks! It was a little uncomfy at first becuase I had to move them into place but I’ve got used to it now. I do try and stay on my back but I end up turning to the side. I have kept my v pillow though as it really is comfy ha!
I’ve got about 6 secret support vests, some of them are really pretty and it’s something for hubby to take off lol Got mine from M&S and Primark and they are so comfy x
the vest sounds good think i’ll pop to marks & sparks tomorrow x
Sorry forgot to say how strange that some surgeons say no bra and others say bra 24:7???
I like to give mine a bra break its helped em to drop xx
Tbh I’d be happy not to wear a bra again! Everyone cant wait for new big bras but I’d rather go braless now they look firmer! But scared they would sag to quickly!
i know i was surprised my sister had ba 7 years ago and she had hers on 24/7, i even bought the strap to go with the macom bras as my sis used this to help them drop so when mine took a while to settle i started wearing the strap and think it realy helped speed things up xx
