5 weeks post op questions Started by: whoopwhoop

Hi

i am 3 weeks post op and seen my nurse last week she told me not to put any “lotions or potions” on my boobs till after my 6 week check up….. Saying that she also told me ona tues to wait til sunday to take my steri strips off and have a proper shower but I was fed up by the friday so took them off and showered then – it hasn’t done any harm lol…..

Think it’s incase of infection and stuff that they tell you not to use anything on them, just incase yr scars aren’t fully healed.

Think it all depends on surgeon tbh – I had marion grob and was told I could use bio oil after two weeks and have to wear sports bra for two months – plus no running or exercise for two months either. If u email your surgeon or nurse I am sure they will get back to u.
