Dont worry i just had mine the other day i was 8 weeks post op. I was the same i thought that it had to be bang on 6 weeks but they said it can be any time from 6 weeks right up to 10 or 12. I work funny shifts at work so i had a right panic, but everything worked out good.
get yourself a date booked so that you know when you are going and if you have any concerns speak to your nurse or PC. They are always there and i found that both my PC and nurse where great support.
