haha dolly you go girl athenarose im exactly the same luv! im 2wks post op too but goin back gym nxt tues when im 3wks as my surgeon said its ok and im also goin out clubbin a wk sat, cant wait any longer show my new assets off lol xx

.I did a spining class at gym at 5 days po

.Yoga class at 6 days po

.wore underwired bra 9 days po naughty me

.am going clubbing next sat so will be 16 days po

.also will be going totaly braless at 16 days po

Lol I didn’t even hold onto my boobs while I smushed I just let them jiggle around haha

Oh by the way I would stay away from underwired bras at the moment as they can re open your incisions and could prevent you from going bigger in the future; that’s the only rule I’ve stuck to. Forgot to mention that one sorry xx

im due my ba 22may and spoke to my gym instrutor tonight about writing me up another programe for after my op, i do a lot of weight training and cardio, he wasnt very happy and told me to take the full 6 weeks off, but he knows what im like and laughed when i told him to sod off, 6 weeks no exercise with crap tv is a no no! im going to speak to my surgeon and say there is no way i can wait 6weeks so what exercises he would confirm i can do. im gutted as i think im going to have to build up to the weights i lift now gutted, but like charlottem says 6 weeks isnt that long for a life time of great bobies, and muscle memory is great. so im trying not to freak out too much lol x

Those doing things before 6 weeks is up (or however long your surgeon/ nurse says) are just silly.

£3,000+ is a LOT of money to throw away. You might feel perfectly fine after a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and after a month think well i must be healed now right? Wrong! Your body is undergoing major recovery inside. The tissues are healing, the muscle is repairing itself, even if you can’t feel it. The slightest pull can cause damage, making your recovery much longer, or worse, causing seroma or cc and ending up in a re-op!

Ask your surgeon/ nurse what is ok, and stick to it. Your body is too precious to quibble over for the sake of a few weeks x

PS Actually admitting on here that you went against medical advice can mean MYA will refuse to correct any problems you end up with for free, because it was your fault!

I have to agree with newboobies on this. Do as your surgeon says and then there’s less of a chance of complications arising. If we break the rules n something happens because of this we can’t say it’s this persons fault or that persons. We’d only have ourselves to blame. Better to be safe than sorry.

Heather your surgeon is sooo relaxed about resuming normal activity!! I’m shocked. I was under the impression BA and uplift was a much bigger op than your standard BA. X
