6lb heavier!!!

Ahh girls its not even funny now! Bad enough feeling like a swollen elephant without seeing proof of it in numbers on the scales! God I hope its swelling! Really not ready to part with my beloved chocolate just yet! x

I’m sooo worried about this! I’ve dropped 10lbs in the last 3 weeks trying to get ready for my op next week, and I feel like it’s all going to be in vain!! The implants alone weigh about 3lb, and that’s without all the bloating! xx

10lb thats brilliant! Well done you! I hadn’t really lost weight but maintaining one I was happy with you know? I’m day 4 now, and feeling like a pot bellied pig last few days to have worst fears confirmed today on scales! And my implants only weigh 2lb so where the hell has this extra 4lb come from?! So hope it’s just water retention from op or something!! Good luck for your op hun! Where and when is it?! x

Thanks hun I only started losing it because I was wayyyy heavier than my usual ‘comfortable’ weight and wanted to look my best for the op! Have you tried laxatives?? My nurse said that if the bloating got too much to give them a go! Some of it probably is water retention too though. I’m in Highgate 3rd May, just want it done now the wait is killing me lol xx

Not tried laxatives as been quite regular since the op anyway but praps need them too? Or fingers crossed for water retention, I’m still visibley swollen so thats gotta weigh something, right? Lol! Ohh how exciting for you tho, next tuesday be here before you know it too! Are you all ready for hospital?! x

To be honest it couldn’t do any harm, just make sure if you do take them you don’t have to go out anywhere in case you have to make a quick run to the loo lol. You can get tablets for water retention to, my friend uses them at her time of the month but I’ve never tried them. Yeah I hope so! Practically counting down the hours lol. Well I got my Macon today (which was overly excited about!), and I’m not nervous yet, just need to pack up a weekend bag of the things I need to take with me! Anything in particular you’d recommend to take along? xx

Something to do while you wait is the biggest, seemed like it took forever for my turn to come! Camera for pics of the sexy gown, stockings and paper knickers they make you wear! Lol! I took in 6 bottles of 500ml water with a bit of squash and went through the lot! The anesthetic makes you so so thirsty! A sandwich if you feel hungry, they gave me toast but felt too sick to eat it and my mouth was so dry it felt like I was trying to chew dry weetabix! But by 11pm I was starving so tucked into my sandwich! Some wetwipes to freshen up as you cant shower. Can’t think of anything else but will message you if anything springs to mind! x

Ah thanks hun don’t have my camera to hand but have an iPhone 4 which takes pretty good pictures! Will just need to remember to take my charger.. Do you have to buy water yourself or do they give it to you too? Thinking of taking my laptop if I can pick up on wifi. Good thinking with the wet wipes! Are you allowed to moisturize your face morning of the op? Wasn’t sure whether the moisturizer thing applied to whole bod or just boobs xx

They said no make up to me but nothing about moisturizer so you should be okay. They give you big jugs of weater and refill it when you need it, I just prefer squash and found picking up small bottle of water easier than pouring water from jug. I could lift my arms okay staright away just the reaching for the jug was a bit awkward! x

Haha fair enough, luckily I’ll have my partner at hand who should be able to help me with any lifting! The thought of arriving with no make-up is a bit scary lol I’m not one of those girls who can get away without it!! I really need to ask about my contacts as well.. I doubt they’ll want me to have those in. No make-up and glasses, what a sexy look!! xx

Lol! I’m sure you’ll look lovely anyway! The worst part about my day was the no makeup too if I’m honest! Flat chest and no makeup = look like a boy! Lol! 😆 As for contacts they wont be much use after general anyway! I dont wear glasses but could not focus for too long on anything after I came round for a few hours! x

Good to know it’s not just me!! Haha I’ll be slapping it on before I take any pics.. Some of the other girls just told me I’ll have to take the lenses out but I don’t mind too much. God I’m going to look sexy lol!! Thanks for the help hun xx

Don’t worry Sarah, you’ll lose it again. I also put on 6lbs just after my ba, but i now weigh exactly the same as my pre op weight, but i have new boobs too x

I put on 10lb after my op. But 2 weeks later i ost 6lb of that. I am now 2lb heavier than b4 my op, which i guess is the implants. xx

With your bloating. Rennie Deflatine? Thinks thats what they are called. Can get them at Boots. They really help with anti-bloating. Laxitives to help with the good old bowel movement. Keep it flowing hahahaha!

Plenty fluid, it helps with bowel movements too.

Can’t believe I’ve described the best way to get rid of poo….

Sarah you can get them in any chemist like superdrug and those sorta places. I use them usually after a big meal or before a night out. The stop and “windy” or crampy feelings so hopefully they work for you girls too. I know I’m well stocked up

Glad I’m not the only one who feels like a tubstar! I was 8stone 5 befor emy op and a week on i’m 8stone 12!!! Can’t wait until i can get back to running, horseriding and my weekly zumba session!!!!!I’m actually missing it loads more than I thought!

it’ll be the fact u prob cant go toilet properly and not moving much it’ll go as soon as your up an about. they say take senokot but from experience of this week it doesnt do anything as all your anti biotics/painkillers cause constipation and your taking more of those. sounds disgusting but after 9 days i cant wait to go to the loo!!!
