6wk check up – waste of space!!! is this normal??

i was really exited about my check up this morning as i had been worried about one boob since id banged it, and although its been ok and not had any of the signs of problems its jst been really painful but was kind of looking forward to being reasured everything was ok.

it took me over an hour to get to the clinic cz of this stupid weather still, and when i got ther i ended up seeing a girl who i have never seen before in my life, i thought i was supposed to be seeing the nurse, which i thought was strange aswel because i think u shud c your surgeon for him to check that everythings ok and that your happy. so this girl wasnt even a nurse, think shes jst a pc, and not my pc! she didnt seem to have a clue what she was doing, she just sed ‘hi im alison can i take some pictures please!’ so after she had taken pics she sed ‘is everything ok with u then?’ i told her how i had banged one n she was jst like ‘oh u wil no wen sumthins wrong..anyway il book you in for ur 12wk check up with mr traynor’

i jst feel like the whole journey was a waste of time, jst told i can wear bras again, but she jst seemed so unorganized and i was fairly pissed off! didnt even get before n after pics that i was promised off my nurse on my first wk check up.

anyone else thinks this check up is pointless? iv been so happy with mya so far, but today i feel like they really havent given a damn and just wanted me in n out!

Hey chels……at least u got a 6 weeks check up lol i havnt had my 6 weeks or my 12 weeks appointment…..sick and tired of chasing it up! And i was made to wait 16 days for my 1 weeks po. How come the nurse wasnt there then hun?xx

omg ticky thats bad that u stil havent got your 12wk one! have u healed well? i was so worried bout my boob that i banged thats why i really wanted to c my surgeon, because i suppose i only trust his word and would have felt a lot better. but im on the mend now and not in as much pain so im guessing its ok!

i think because of the bad weather she couldnt get in work on saturday so she was running behind with things or something. she was lovely on the phone today tho and told me i could make another appointment to c her if i felt like i needed to, but im just going to wait to c mr traynor in feb. xx

I’m the same hun,havnt had a 6 or 12week check been told I cant see my surgeon til 31st Jan….I’ll be 24 weeks post op by then!! Which is beyond…not happy with my aftercare but my boobs looks great :)xx

I think ive healed well but i dont really know….thats what i paid 3 and a half grand for. Theres been a few times when ive thought “this isnt right, i need to see my surgeon” but all i get is “the clinic isnt licensed at the minute to take post op patients”….fair enough if i was making a routine dr’s appointment but my god YOU CUT ME OPEN AND SHUVED SOMETHING IN 😆 its not like im wanting to see them for the sake of wasting my time!!!! Arghhh….sorry hun lol. I doubt i’ll see anyone until end of jan early feb. They sent me some flowers which was lovely but it dosnt make it ok u know.

Hya girls jst thaught I’d make u feel a bit better by tellin u that my surgeon didn even come around an c me after my op lol! Wen I come around nurse asked had I seen dr chant an me an my bf sed no an she sed ohh well he’s gon home now, he must hav seen u in recovery ( which I can’t remember an I remember bein in recovery!!!) besides he should hav come around after to feel them an go through everythin with me! Instead I had a nurse tellin me to take strapping off tomoz an put bra on an that’s it!! Felt a lil left out bt my boobs were feelin fine so dropped bk off too sleep lol! The mister weren’t happy thou xx

yeaa i no wot u mean ticky i think u just need the reasurance off your surgeon that everythings ok. thats not good having to wait that long!

naty128 i would be peed off aswel if my surgeon hadnt come in to c i was ok after my op! wen u pay all this money, u should get the best treatment from start to finish! xx

Mya have offered to pay my travel cost to go to see them in Birmingham….but its MILES away.x

is that jst to c a nurse or ur surgeon ticky? and when wud u be able to get in if u agreed to go? thats not good if its far away tho! xx

To be honest im not sure hun,they said they could get me in asap but its way too far.xxx
