7 weeks post op- can i wear 'normal' bras yet? Started by: tiarastara

    hey girlies. I am dying to get measured and wear something other than these god awful sportsbras, bv my left boob hasnt 100% caught up with my right. There’s only a slight difference so should i just go for it?

    Hi i was told at my 6 weeks cheak i could go get mesured and wear normal bras although i only bought 1 or 2 as i was scared they would still change size, have you had the 6 weeks cheak? x x

    Mine arent even yet and i’m 8wks post op on monday, saw nurse at 6wks and she said i could bra shop now just not to have them too tight on scars. I waited another week and then went to M&S but the woman wasnt much help, so the next day i went to LaSenza and got measured there, bought a 34E vienna bra in sale and a 34F lucy lace bra, could buy loads in there but darent buy many in case they change more! Tho i’ve reverted back to my sports bra while i’m trying to get my left to drop.

    The scars are healing really well samf81. I am pleased with the size too. I had a little bit of bother with dissolvable stitches that weren’t dissolving and had to be taken out but it all seems to be healing well now.

    I am seeing Mr Traynor on Wednesday so I’ll wait until I see him then maybe get measured!

    The healing is such a long process. We are all so obsessed with getting the actual op done that we don’t really think about the recovery time afterwards and expect it all to happen instantly!!

    Iv been wearing normal since week 3 lol my bad…..my surgeon just told me I could wear them whenever I felt comfortable enough in them so thats what I did! lol
