Hi girls
I had my BA 9 days ago and had dressings removed on Friday (7 days post op). I was 32a/b and had 380 cc implants partial;y under muscle. I was so pleased to have the dressings removed. The incision scars were wrinkled as they had been covered for a week yet the nurse said that they will improve over time, she then placed a small dressing tape over the scars to protect them over the next 4 to 5 days when showering and then I can have a deep bath to soak them off. She said that I cannot use any creams on the scars but I’m hoping that after 6 weeks I will be able to!
After the op I had some pain and discomfort but I have experienced this more so since having the dressings removed on Friday! I was in a bit of pain, particularly my left boob and on the rib cage so I took some paracetomol. I tried sleeping on my back but didn’t sleep well as my left boob felt strange and this seemed to be since having my dressing removed as my boobs were no longer rigidly strapped to me! I had some discomfort again yesterday but it seems to be easing. My bruising seems to be coming out around my rib cage and it’s quite tender to touch and the sports bra doesn’t help!!!
I have found that both of my boobs seem to be the same size and numb in places, my right boob feels better than the left although they are both very firm and high with a bit of a gap between them – I can’t wait for them to settle!
My stomach was quite bloated for a few days after surgery as the pain killers and anti-inflamatories cause constipation (sorry girls) so wasn’t regular!!! I got some lactulose from the chemist to help this, it actually tastes nice, quite sweet like syrup!
Its a nightmare not being able to wash your hair after the op – I couldn’t stand it so I got my partner to help wash my hair over the bath!! Also bought some Batiste dry shampoo from Boots which is great for using between washes to combat the grease!

Estefany – Good luck with your BA, you’ll be fine, the anaesthetic is really nothing to worry about, just the smallest prick of the needle and you be asleep in seconds, really quite a nice feeling. The anaethetist will discuss this with you before the op and you’ll have chance to discuss your fears and any family history/problems or if you have any allergies to anything, they’ll put you at ease.

I’m 5ft 8, 9st 7, between 10/12 hips and was size 8/10 top. The theory is that around 125cc-150cc is the equivalent to roughly a cup size. Do you have a lot of breast tissue at the top of your boobs? What dress size, height, weight are you?Bec86 – Hope you’re feeling okay after your op, my boobs felt massive for a while but thankfully now they’ve settled to a more manageable size! You’ll find that nurofen will also stop you from going to the loo. I’m still not back to normal but better than I was, think its because I’m not as active as usual so my digestive system slows down, but taking painkillers or nurofen doesn’t help! Try eating some fruit and maybe try some senokot, take that before you go to bed and hopefully by the morning things will start moving – know its uncomfortable!!! Yeah I did swell up around my rib cage but that’s your body’s natural defence after having an op. I can imagine the instruments they use will cause bruising around your rib cage. Once the swelling goes down the bruising comes out which is what I’m finding now. I’m 10 days post op and where they couldn’t get the canula in my hand there is now a big blue bruise – its taken that long to come out! In a few days time your swelling will go and you will probably find that you are quite sore and bruised where you least expect it!
