A bit pee'd off

My pc and nurse both phoned me before my op to wish me luck and said they would call me after. My nurse she said she would call on tuesday after op.

Anyway, Mr K came to see me tuesday morning before i was discharged and said due to the uplift and the technique he’d used, he wanted to see me himself at the hospital on tuesday 15th instead of going to my post op on monday 14th at mya.

I mentioned this to my pc when she phoned me and she said to speak to nurse about it when she phones me later. However i still havent had a phone call from my nurse.

oh not good!! do you have a number for her?

Hope she phones as i was told the after care was very good!!

Hope she calls you, I have had great aftercare from the nurse & my pc. I had a bit of weeping from one of my scars when the stiches were removed and she called me daily even on a Saturday to check how i was getting on. If you dont hear anything i would just give her a call.

My PC is rubbish too. Saw and spoke to her once then as soon as i’d paid my deposit i never heard from her again! Why can they not understand the importance of passing a message along – how much time and effort does it take to give someone quick call when they’ve got concerns after an op!

Yes Honey I’m with Leeds clinic. I dont know if they are miffed that Mr K has told me to see him instead of the Leeds Mya nurse or what. Fortunately i’ve not had any need to call nurse, but i’ve got the number for the nurses at the hospital so if i do need anything i know who i’ll be calling. xx

Im feeling abit peed off with MYA to to be honest. Do you get the feeling they never answer their phones, and ive been given 3 different numbers for the actual clinic and all 3 sayin the number has not been recognised… Then I book my op and they take my deposit off me then get a phone call 3 or 4 days later saying they can’t fit me in on that date I need to change it. I’d already booked my time off work and had to beg my manager to change it. Not even a sorry we messed up or anything! I just really want the surgeon im having or i’d probably have asked for my money back! x

I had a phonecall from my pc today explaining that my nurse had been covering a london clinic and was back today so she would ring me today. The nurse phoned around lunchtime and said that she had been covering in london and could not access her files on their computer system. So all is well, i’ve got no problems and will be seeing Mr K on tuesday for my tape off. x

My PC is from Bristol, Amy; she’s brilliant BUT she went on her honeymoon for 3 weeks on Monday 7th, my BA was the 8th and since then I had a call from the nurse to say she can see me in Cardiff on Thursday next week for stitches but I havent heard anything from MYA. One of the other PC’s who was really good left last week too so i’ve got no real point of contact. I emailed the person who is my “go to” person while Amy is away, on Wednesday asking her if I could see a different nurse sooner than Thursday… That seems like ages to be stitched up… I thought it was 5-7days… and i’ve heard nothing from her. Worse still my iphone completely broke on Wednesday morning and i had to restore it to the original settings, meaning i lost all the contact numbers for the nurse, MYA, PC… all of it but thought i would have heard something, even just a text.
