Hi
I’m pretty new so sorry if these question’s seem daft…I am having my operation next thursday and i am a 34A and having 410 unders…
1. I was told by the surgeon to bring a sports bra sized 34D but im beginning to think this could be too small… what d’ya think?
2. Also i watched a couple of vids on you tube and saw that they put 3 layers of stitches in… is this the case with every surgeon? 😯
and finally…
3. has anyone had an BA at the Rochdale hospital….whats it like?….or is anyone one going to be there next thursday when i’m in?
cheers girls x
Hello Tally,
I can only answer question 1 I’m afraid!
The Nurse in Holborn was very helpful and she explained that most women buy 2-3 different sports bra sizes because you can’t estimate the size after surgery and especially when the swelling goes down etc
So she recommended a company called Macom Medical which provide garments for post-surgery. The beauty of the bras is that the material of the bra adapts to your breasts so all you have to do is provide your current back size and the bra you’ll receive should be good for any breast size.
I bought mine today.. So we’ll see how it goes… But if you’re interested:

Hi Tally,
Im having mine done on Sunday and was told to take a 32 E im having 410 unders from 32 b!
Good luck xx
I’m 32a and having 340 unders and have bought a selection of C and D cups. I think you should get a selection of D and E. Unless you go for the Macom that is. I initially bought Macom bras and my surgeon told me to return them as he doesn’t recommend front fastening as he thinks you’re pushing your boobs together when fastening it which doesn’t help with the healing process. But every surgeon has their own opinion and I kind of wish I’d kept my Macom bras.
If you do go for a Macom Bra put in mya in the discount box you get 10% off. Or alternatively you can put in mybreast and get 15% off
