    Hi ladies,

So I had my first surgery with Surgicare nearly 4 years ago and never had any problems apart from my right breast never settled right.

I was a 32AA before and a 32D after…6 months later a 32DD now a 32E! So that is warning number one lol your breasts can still naturally grow!

As for my right breast I thought it might drop and look better with time….I was wrong. So after months of trying to book another consul at Surgicare I gave up! I wasn’t happy (this is 3 years down the line) and I wanted them sorted. Then one day a client of mine mentioned she had been with MYA and recommended me. I booked a consul a few weeks later and then saw Dr Aurakzai (SP?).

At first glance he was like “And what’s wrong with your breasts? They are near perfect!” Then I pointed out one was 2 inches higher than the other and that I was sure that after nearly 4 years…..I was starting to get CC (capsular contraction).

He agreed that my right breast implant pocket could be loosened to make it sit further down…then he looked closer and also agreed that I had the beginnings of CC. Just great!! So there is warning number 2….even after years things can go wrong!

Then to add insult to injury he asked what type implants I had! I didn’t know so he asked “What size are they?” “310cc and 330cc.” I replied. And he said “Ah yes, you have pip implants…” I didn’t know and said so! He replied “I’m not asking I’m telling you!” lol okay so what does that mean? Well PIP implants are now on world wide recall!!! The owners have been arrested back in march 2010 and the company was shut down and the production halted. The implants where being fraudulently produced and where missing an ingredient (as far as I can gather from the research I did) that made them safe and approved for use!!!

So even though they where top of the market 4 years ago things can change. Anyhow, having said all that I a;so had my boobs done at the ages of 21 because I was (am) eating disordered and thought it would cure me/help me.

SURGERY DOES NOT SOLVE ALL YOUR PROBLEMS!!!

I am now having to pay £5100 for more surgery to correct my right breast, remove the scar tissue and replace the implants. I would never go back to natural and am actually going bigger this March but I wanted to warm all of you lovely women out there who may think that surgery is the answer!!

Good luck and best wishes to all of you!

Thank you Maxine, I am frankly amazed that they did surgery for you in the first place if you had an eating disorder, this is unethical and immoral in my opinion, this is why they have to ask if you have a history of depression etc, as you say it doesn’t solve anything!

I hope that you are able to get things sorted to your satisfaction and I’m sorry that it will be costing you so much money.

    Take care

I’m just glad MYAs policy is this:

MYA’s aftercare will cover the original result for three years, 5 years for capsular contracture and the implants have a 10 year guarantee. MYA have an open door policy so you can come back and see a surgeon at any point after your operation and we have a 24 hour careline number. After your procedure, you will have post operative appointments with the nurse and surgeon.

Capsular contracture USUALLY (your an exception) happens in the first year so thats why they only cover you for 5 years on that. They also say they only cover the implants for 10 years because naturally your boobs will change because of ageing, pregnancy etc. I think them covering the original result for 3 years is just if you’re not happy with the result and the surgeon agrees they could have been done better.

i think that surgery is a big decision and any1 considering having it already knows, or at least should know the pros and cons and risks etc… and does it for there own reasons.

take care with your future surgery though xx
