Aaaaaargh, got to give up smoking but can't!

Im due to have my BA 25 november and really excited and ready but the only thing i can’t do is give up smoking. I normal start of ok(first 5 hours) then that’s when everything goes pear shape. I know i should give up and i really want to as i’m paying so much money for my BA but just can’t, any advice and help will be welcome.

oh god im the same. my op is 2 weeks tomorrow so i have to give up smoking tomorrow… i dno how though! thing is i only smoke one or two a day depending on the situation, more socially, sometimes nothing but thats my routine, i normally have one a day and i know it sounds silly but i dno how im gona go that long without anything! how many do you smoke? do you think the odd one will make all that difference? eeeek. xx

I no i should of but i didnt stop. I couldnt. I enjoy my fags to much and iv smoked for so long. I just didnt have a fag on the day of ba x x

I’m having trouble quitting too it don’t help getting nervous before the op! Xx

Im the same as you hallix, i only smoke bout 2 a day but if really stressed out will raise it up to 5(oh dear). I’ve heard a lot of ladys saying that they still smoked right up till op day, really don’t know what to do. was hoping my partner would stop with me for bout a week then he could continue but, i was just going mad and bought a pack.

was really calm about op, it’s just giving up, but i know i will be bricking it next week. haven’t had a fag so far but it’s just in the evening’s that’s when everything so to pot!

i did the same as sammie, i cut down the day before and didnt have one on the day of the op, apart from that i was to stressed to even try..x
