Acrylic nails….

It says in my notes that all false nails have to be removed for your op but a few people have said they only had to have one taken off?? Did anyone else take all theirs off?? I’d rather just get the one removed if poss xx

I was told I had to remove mine too. Had them on for over 10years so not looking forward to going nail-less xxx

Yeah, i just had my full set replaced on Thursday. I’m gonna have them soaked off a few days before and just get a manicure until I can get them back on. Yuk!!! x

i’m gutted, i’m gonna feel mingin enough without having grotty nails too lol xx

Its to do with being able to check the colour 0f your nails when under the anesthetic to make sure they’re not blue! xx

can’t they use my toes instead lol xx

Hi there.

I have had acrylic nails for years (clear with paintd white tips) and i was able to keep them on for my op. I was told as long as clear with no nail varnish they were fine. Best check though in case every clinic is different.

I’m gonna double check, i don’t want to have to rip them off with my teeth on the morning of my op lol!! Still think they should use my toes instead x

I was naughty, I didnt take mine off. I took nailpolish off on toes, and had clear acrylic and natural tips, and had no problems on the day of op.

I was told to take mine off at my pre op the nurse said “anything that you were not born with, has to come off” lol x

I’v got my pre op on wednesday so i’ll see what she says…i hate being without my nails lol! A friend of mine only had to take one off though x

It is a pain but its going to be all worth it!

I went a week after and got them infiled!

Jo, as your having an uplift you wont be able to wash your hair! Its impossible so I went to the hairdressers to get a wash and blowdry, first one was 5days after my op! I usually wash my hair every day without fail so this was horrible for me! Dry shampoo is a must! However, one good thing came out of it – my hair grew an inch! It usually barely grows this much in a year!

Thats what i’m dreading melissa, not being able to wash my hair My friend is a hairdresser so i’ll book in with her for a pamper I think…Will defo get some dry shampoo…I just ordered two macom bras this morning (been up since 5am internet shopping lol) I got the same ones as you hun i think…1007 but i got both in black xxx

I dont think they would go ahead with the uplift if you didnt have your nails off anyway – they are so fussy! They wouldent even let me keep my hairband in! You have to be bare!

Yes, the hair washing and the sleeping on your back is the worst thing about the op but its only for 2 weeks!

Haha cant believe youve been up since 5! But I know the feeling – its like an addicion! Im still addicted to this site even tho im 5 weeks post op!

I know the Macom bras are expensive but they are definatly worth it in the long run as you have to wear them for 6 weeks 24/7! They arnt the most flattering of bras but they do the job! When I first ordered the Macom I got the 1010 but it was too low cut for the bandages! I am 6 weeks post op Friday but I will probs still continue to wear the Macom Bra for possibly another 2 weeks – I dont really feel ready to wear a normal bra just yet!

I know its crazy….i never thought i would see the day i spent so much time thinking about boobs lol! I go to bed thinking of them and i wake up thinking about them as well as thinking about them all bloody day haha!!

Your right about the macom bras, not the most flattering but as long as they do the job then its fine…can’t wait to go out and buy pretty sexy bras though!! hopefully by the time we get to may i will be ready to wear the sexy ones…bring on that summer weather lol xxx

erghhhh don’t want my nails off :o( my friend is coming round the next day to put them back on!!! ridiculous I know but I dont think I can stand no nails no polish on my toes and being bandaged….I’ll be like something out of a horror movie!! x

thats the norm with any operation girls xx make-up, nail arnish etc…. but to be honest when i had a c-section to have my son i had acrylics and was allowed to keep them on… i also left my clip in hair extentions in too lmao!!! just didnt say anything about them… was all good!!! wasnt happy about removing my make-up tho…eeeekk looked like death!!!! lol xxxx

yeah susie, i was able to keep my nails on when i had a c-section too….oh well, it will be worth it all in the end (i hope) xx

I have been told I can keep my eyelashes and so I will! Had my pre-op and asked and had already asked my pc. They are like real ones anyway – real ones fall out just the same and with the nails there is a reason under ga for being able to see the nailbed – funny how everyone is told differently! x

I put it into google hun and theres loads of companys I was a paranoide freak the wk leadin to my op I though id get flu,mugged,That id die That id Be shit on by pigeons lol! I think ur just so desprate for it to go smoothly that when it does u then think oh this is 2good to be true everythink will be fine hun xx

Oh, just spoke to pc and she just wanted to change my app to an hour early on wednesday thats all xx

I was the same the night before,i considered not goin ahead! I didnt sleep! god make sure u sleep lol! i was convinced my blood pressure was sky high yet it was normal! i even said to mr singh if i die u make sure u finish the job! i want to die with g8 knockerz haha! its so normal to get them thoughs! when u read horror storys its always in turkey them kinda places xx
