Admission frees?

Decided to cancel and postpone the op until Iv saved the money up. I requested to cancel not even a day after booking (I heard there’s a 7 day refund after booking) they said Iv got to pay £100 admission fees so will only get £400 out of my £500 deposit back? Seems abit harsh after I cancelled less than 24 hours later? Anyone else heard of this ?
