    It really depends on the individual but here are the advantages and disadvantages of both…

    Capsular contracture is more common with overs, also rippling is more visible and implants are more likely to ‘bottom out’ when placed over the muscle. Overs are usually used to create a ‘faker’ look, but a natural look can also be achieved.

    Unders have a longer recovery time; you will have more pain and discomfort than ladies with overs as the surgeon has to cut through the muscle as well as skin, tissue and fat. It also takes more skill on the surgeons part to place them under the muscle, so choose carefully. They are usually used to give a more natural look..but no one can say for sure which placement looks better over time as everyone is different. Also once you have had unders you can’t have overs.
