    Hiya girls

I had my op on Monday and although I felt like I’d read loads of posts on here about post op and info online, I was not nearly as prepared as I thought I was… Thought it would be useful if anyone who’d been through it shared their post op experience.

For me now (only on day 3), I feel like my boobs are really high and swollen to the size of the moon. I know it’s normal but you see girls post worrying about it in here. My incisions are starting to itch and sting too but because I don’t know what’s going on under the dressing, maybe I should be worried haha! I also heard day 3 was the worst for pain but I’m breezing through so far (touch wood!).

The worst thing for me has been relying on people to help me. Silly things like opening windows, filling the kettle, feeding the cat! Feel so helpless. I’ve read that some ladies get really down and upset. I’m not that bad at the mo but know how much medication can meddle with your mind.

Has anyone else had any experiences that they wouldn’t mind sharing so we know what to expect over the coming weeks?

    Thanks chicks!xx

The itching is a good sign that your incisisions are healing, mine are doing exactly the same 🙂 Though I’m getting my dressings changed tomorrow, so if I find something awful under there I’ll let you know itching isn’t a good sign after all haha x

@Jenni I thought as much. I’m not worried about anything at the moment. Just plodding along through it all. Let me know how you get on tomorrow. My dressings are off Tuesday. The feeling of sunburnt nipples has hit me this morning which is just lovely…

Also, I’ve been wearing an Asda post surgery bra which is really comfortable but it seems to stretch every time I wash it. Should the bras be really tight? I’ve got a Macom on it’s way and I’ve got another compression one from another company but the hem sits too close to my incisions for my liking. I’ve got a Shock Absorber sports bra too but I put it on and felt totally squashed & restricted. Anyone got any advice about bras? Worried the Asda one isn’t giving me the best support.xx

I’ve worn my asda bra and an m and a zip up one for a while and they need to hold you in but not overly tight! And everything you girls are experiencing is normal just got to be patient. I’m now nearly 5 weeks post op and feel fab. After the 2 weeks you feel completely back to normal, apart from having to be careful obviously lol. Xxxx
