    Hi
I am going to be on my own the whole day after my op. I was just wondering if I will be ok?! I am so scared that I won’t be able to move at all! Can anyone who has already had the procedure let me know how you were the day after and if you could manage by yourself.
    Thank you x

Just make sure you have everything you need at easy reach like cups etc. I couldn’t open drawers for the first few days cos I couldn’t use the muscle in my arms & chest. You won’t be able to reach high things or lift anything heavy & some people have said they couldn’t flush the toilet but I could. Just take it really easy. Good luck with your op x

Hi Charlotte, I would strongly recommend you have someone to help you out on the first few days. I would not have managed without my best friend around me. Literally, opening a window, flushing the toilet, even shuffling myself up the bed without support was hard! Adjusting my pillows, trying to get a sports bra on with a back fastening on my own was impossible because of the pain. But I had implants under the muscle, so my arms were much weaker than if over the muscle I imagine x
