Advice please – so confused after my consult with surgeon re uplift and implants

I had my consultation with surgeon re having an uplift and implants. Was asked what was more important to me, uplift or implants. I’ve always had a good size so my answer was uplift. I was then told that I would not be able to have both during the same procedure and all of the MYA surgeons would not do this either because the weight of the implant would cause the boob to drop again.

I’m a bit confused as I know that others on here have had both done at the same time, and obviously if I have two procedures it means two operations, two recovery periods, two costs etc.

Has anyone else been told this, and is it just a warning they have to give and you have the option to have both together??

I had an uplift with implants 3 months ago hun…i’v never heard of you not being abl to have both at the same time…if anything its usually advisable to have an implant at the same time to give you a fuller look…..who did you see for your consultation? I never once got told i couldn’t have both xx

I agree and cfp i just sent you a pm to the same effect in reply to your message, i was told I had to have the implants at the same time, not that i shouldnt xx

I could cry I came out of the consultation feeling quite positive but having thought about it over night I just don’t feel as positive. I was all up for putting the deposit down yesterday.

Was also advised to have a tt and was told that this procedure could not be carried out at same time as uplift – so I would have to have three separate procedures all in all if I did end up wanting to have the implants.

Now I don’t know whether to ask to see a different surgeon, or go to a different clinic and get some more advice.

Did you see more than one clinic for consultations/advice?xx

That’s strange – all the uplift ladies on here seem to have had both at the same time – which surgeon did you see? x x

I should add that when I first met my co-ordinator she gave me a price for both uplift and implants, so it must be possible!! – and the surgeon gave advice before seeing me naked, so it’s not just in my case, she advises all the same??

I really am shocked to hear that as myself, and blondie to name but a few have had both uplift and implants…its news to me that you can’t have both…which surgeon did you see hun? xx

Hiya I had both, also with Helena, did u want big implants? As I did n that’s wat Helena said was t possible due to the weight on the points were you’d be stitched. I think 410 was the absolute biggest she would go, she recommend 320-350 for me, which would of made me smaller than I was to start with, I pushed for 410 & got 380. xxx
