Advice plz anyone

Can i pick your brains plz? I’ve had a strange numb sensation in my left upper arm since the surgery & I keep getting a stabbing pain there as if someone has twanged me with a laggy band. Also my tapes are causing me alot of discomfort across the breast bone area, it feels as though someone is trying to pull my boobs apart & i just want to get the tape off. I rang Mya at 9.30 am & asked to speak to a nurse & was told one was available at Newcastle & would ring me asap I’ve rung twice more & been told she is busy with back to back appointments & will ring me this evening but surely someone could have spared 5mins? What’s my next move? I’m not worried by what’s happening just fed up & need some advise. Thanks xxx

Oh Hun I had the same feeling day 2&3 with my arm, I had it in my leg as well which freaked me out!! They have both thankfully gone!!

I have an issue with my dressing too, driving me made! My right is fine my left I’m sure is caught on my insision so everytime I move I feel it pulling, my right is in no discomfort what so ever but my left is driving me nuts!

I think with the tape depending on how many days post op you are, I’ve read some girls took the top part off as it was causing to much discomfort but I would check first!!

my arm pits area felt numb for about a week and a half, didnt really get a stabbing pain tho, but when feeling started to come back it did feel very strange, i wasnt taped though only a breast band which i folded down under that area..x

I’m 3 days post op, i’ve peeled the top bit of my tape back and the relief is amazing!I rang the Leeds office 3 times today & was told the nurse would ring me when she had time. I appreciate that she’s busy but what if it was serious? Can i add you plz? xxx

It’s weird but the pain isn’t in my arm pit it’s about 2 inches down my arm and an ache around my elbow!?!xxx

then id ring the nurse again, telling them you have rang 3 times, or message a mod on here they seen to get stuff sorted quick… good luck and keep us updated…x

I bet it was a relief! I can’t wait to have my dressings changed Thursday they r driving me mental! Lol

I still haven’t heard from anyone. I didn’t get a call from the nurse the day after my op like i was told i would, my pc rang but she’s on leave now. Anyway out of desperation i took the top half of my tape off & the relief was instant. Still got the pain in my arm tho? I’ll try messaging a mod on here and see what happens but it’s abit late now coz the advise i needed was whether to take the tape off or not!Thanks ladies for your help xxx
