My surgery is on 15th September (Thursday) and my mum is taking me and has booked off that weekend but has to go back to work on the Monday, also boyfriend has no more holiday to book off and I’m starting to panic I’m going to be sitting in on my own and won’t be able to do anything for myself and will end up just sitting there crying!?
Mum and boyfriend are laughing at me saying I’m being dramatic and will be fine!

I had my surgery on Tuesday and for the first few days I couldn’t sit myself up very well or get into the bath. My boyfriends gone back to work today but I would say that I’ve needed him less and less everyday since about Friday. Just make sure you have got everything you need and a v pillow is a must! Xx
Hi Chloe, i’ve been very lucky as i have had my mom about but just make sure you have everything to hand.. Even the simple things you don’t think about every day like making sure the butter is on the low shelf of the fridge ( i cried in frustration on day 5 when no one was around and I couldn’t reach the butter to even make some toast ?) i have had a little fold away table beside my bed sinvce my op which has everything from a bottle of water and my medication to books, my iPad and tv remote controls!
And yup a v pillow will make life a lot easier! x

Hi Alex, luckily my fridge is low down anyway so that should be fine, will just leave everything else on the side as all my cupboards are high up, hoping I will be able to pour water from kettle as I love my cups of tea!!

I normally get them apps for holidays and things but found it made it seem so much slower so stopped myself from getting one for this as I literally can not wait!!
