I drink a litre of pineapple juice a day that is supposed to help,I was 2 weeks post op on Monday and my bruises have gone,I may just be a quick healer, but its a suggestion it may help, and if it dose’nt you are drinking lots of fresh fruit juice and that wont do you any harm.xxx

Ive been reading that avoiding salt and processed foods will help swelling go quicker and keep your head elavated at all times, so nighttime sleep in a upright position and try not to bend down or anything.. and loads of pineapple juice!

    Having my op in Feb

To be honest I think it just depends on the person, I drank no pineapple juice and always eat quite badly and I didn’t bruise badly, its day 10 and iv had no bruises for a couple of days.

Always good to do things that that try and help though :) xxx

I used arnica cream on the bruises on my face… I ate and drank pineapple!! My nose is still a bit swollen and I am almost 4 months post op… you just can’t rush these things. Just be really care full not to knock your nose. That would be a disaster! I barely bruised initially but then one of the few bruises I did get just took ages to fade away… just all depends. Good luck ladies xxx

Dont over do it in the first few weeks rest as much as you can,but dont be a couch potato either, everything in moderation, this should help with the swelling.xxx

I went out in my cast after a week… I rocked it…my friends thought I was mental. The thing was the nose in a cast was already better than the old nose! xxx

I rocked the cast on a busy london underground train hahah its cool, people just think uve had an accident. I thought the same as chelle, the nose under the cast was already better than the old nose! xx

Lol, yea I also went out with the cast on, although I did get someone practically falling over as he had turned so much to stare, someone shouting “oh my god” practically in my face and several people asking me who punched me in the face! Stuff like this doesn’t bother me but be prepared for staring, you do have a huge cast on your face lol. I agree with Tina take it easy, i kept feeling faint all the time and feeling dizzy. Take water with you everywhere you go (and a straw lol) xx
