From what I’ve been reading recently, I’m getting the impression that MYA’s aftercare service has many faults… Its really making me reconsider since I need reassurance that if any situation was to occur p/o I can count of their services.

At the moment I’ve been getting calls from them and they are easily located but will this be the same once I’ve paid my money.

I feel exactly the same, although from what I’ve read none of the other ‘bigger’ cosmetic surgery companies have very good aftercare either…:-( x

ive personally had no problem with mya aftercare, any problems ive had they have been a phone call away, i actually had a phone call the other day of them to see my surgeon because i missed my 3 month post opp with him so they rang me to tell me that they got an appointment available for me (im 7 months po) i know its quite late but they still got back to me once they were able to get me an app xx

I think this is a hard one to answer. My initial first meeting until having my operation and even straight after was above and beyond,I really felt that they were giving excellent service compared to a lot of other companies. I really could not fault them (and to be honest this part is prob the most important bit to us girlies)

However that is until I had a problem with them, I am wondering if maybe it is just a busy time of year and that is why I have had to wait so long to see them and am even trying to make excuses for my PCS blatent fib, oh I just don’t know! x

I think a lot of companies are the same though hun, my friend had aftercare with another company and they wouldnt even consider a re op and hers was longer aftercare and she had a letter from another surgeon saying she had DB’d, I don’t really want to say anything negative about them until after my meeting on the 24th , maybe everything will go perfectly, they do seem to be the best for boobies though and only a small percentage have problems, I think i’m just unlucky xx

    pre op, fantastic.

    Op – Surgeon, Hospital

Aftercare – Appauling… i am 5 months po, and only 2mrw am i having my 12 week check, even after complaining, and being unhappy and still in pain.. Reception staff at Manchester. Are so up there own arses, i could quite easily slap them.. lol.

i have rung the nurse anout 8 times asking questions, saying im worried, etc. Alls i got was times a healer. give it time, treat each boob as a diff op.

As 5 months on, i still have air bubbles (lots of them) i still hurt slightly in one of my boobs, and i am generally not happy with the right boob.

Been asking 2 c Mr T, and im sure if i could of got through to him directly i wouldnt b waiting untill now to be seen.. But you have to go through all the other obnoxious shits 1st… :(

My App had been rearranged 6 times. Bcz of Mya..

We’ll see what get said tomorrow when i go and see them…

Sorry for the essay ladies. :) xxxxx

Hiya, I dont post on here much but felt I had to on this.

I had my uplift and implants done on 25 July and although my left side has healed pretty much perfectly, I still have an open wound as my right side has been very slow to close up.

The after care I’ve received has been 2nd to none with at least weekly appointments to check on my progress, make sure it’s not infected, changing the dressings etc. I go to the Leeds clinic and my PC Louisa and nurse Isabelle have been fantastic throughout.

I have found the Leeds clinic really good pre and post op… My PC was brill before and once I booked. I had to move my op a few times as my baby was really poorly and they couldn’t have been any nicer… Once I finally booked and paid I had a few pre opp appointments to check for MRSA as I’d been in hospital with my daughter a few times. I then had a call from my PC and nurse the day before and another call the day after my op from PC and nurse. When ever I’ve gone in for an app they have scheduled my next one..

I suppose there all different but my experience with Leeds has been great xxx

Hi laurakate, I went this evening for another check up, it’s still not quite there yet. Theres a bit where the vertical scar meets the the areola that’s still open. I’ve another appointment next week and fingers crossed I’ll be healed, sealed and have the stamp of approval to wear underwire and go back to the gym (not both together tho)! Thanks for asking, hope everything is ok with you :) x

I think what is rubbish is that there doesn’t seem to be consistency with aftercare between clinics – everyone deserves the same level of care x

please dont any1 be put of from what they read, as its very true, each clinic is different, but i havent been impressed with Manchester. xx
