aftercare

Hey,

I’m thinking of booking my BA in sept with MYA just wondering how people have found them with there aftercare ect, cuz i have heard a few bad things about there aftercare but wanted to speak to people on here to see how they have found them….?

i dont know if this will help but i had a rhinoplasty done 7 months ago and the surgeon did a brilliant job but the aftercare was appalling as no1 gives a shit about you once they get the money!

Hi Becky, I have had a wonderful experience from MYA and my after care has been amazing what clinic have you had your consultations at? I’ve been at Cardiff and they’ve been fab with the aftercare!! xx

Hi becky87. I agree with tanya84, im 6wks post op the surgeon done an awesome job and im thrilled with results, but MYA could do better. Maybe it depends on which clinic u go to. xx

i suppose the main thing is the surgeons ive got mine booked for 1st sept with mr adamo cuz i felt rele confident with him and i have my post op appointment already booked for weds the 8th but i have to admit i havent herd much from my pc at all but i dunno if this is normal!!? where did u go mandy to the london clinic? thts where i have gone!! oh god fingers crossed then tht mine will go ok and i dnt have to rely on their aftercare too much!! is bad tho wen ur paying all this money! x

I had my ba 2 weeks ago with mr adamo hes wicked and really good at what he does so good choice. My pc amanda was really nice and she knows her job well. She answered loads of my questions with confidence. Who have u got for ur pc? I went to holborn which i presume u have too? The aftercare is not that bad at all amanda rang me the day after my op and so did the nurse and a few days after my check up to have my dressing removed after a week the nurse rang me to c how i was coz i said about one bein bigger than the other so she rang to double check i was still ok to wait til the 6 week appointment so i havent had any problems with them x

oh thts rele good to hear yeah i went to holborn too! my pc is holly she is nice enough but theres been a few times wen she said she is gonna ring and hasn’t and shes went on holiday recently and said she was gonna txt me another pc contact details incase i needed anything whilst she was away and she hasn’t so will be interesting to see if she rings before or after the op! yea mr adamo is lovely im glad he done a good job on u wat size implant did u have? did u have overs or unders? has ur recovery been quite straight forward – sorry lots of questions lol x

Hi i had 460 overs he did say 525s but i fort they could end up a bit big so i went for 460s instead. Recovery however is bad for the first few days coz it hurts and the best bit of advice i can give u is keep ur shoulders and back relaxed coz i didnt and i had to ring the nurse in pain and she told me to have a massage and put a hot water bottle inbetween my shoulder blades and relax, it worked! U end up hunchin and tensin up coz of the weight on the front and the fact that u feel like u have to hold on to them everytime u walk coz mr adamo doest put strappin on u he just puts basically a plaster underneath over the cut and thats it. What has he told u that u should have?

hes told me to go for 380cc so thts wat im going for im an empty b at the mo and wanna get the volume bk up top so im having high profile overs! yea its strange he doesnt use any bandages or anything!! i have brought a sports bra just incase did u wear one at all or not wear anything for the first few weeks? i will try and relax my shoulders then thank u for tht advice!! seems an easy thing to do but i bet its prob harder than u think is it? x

It is very hard to relax them trust me but atleast u know in advance. I do wear a bra and have done on and off since the 2nd day coz of the weight at the front bein too much but c how u go with it x

I was in a shallow bath on the friday i had it done on the wednesday just didnt get boobs wet at all and my now ex did my hair with a cup and me makin sure no water ran over my boobs coz i cant handle not havin my hair washed or i itch like mad. If u can sit in the bath c if u can manage puttin ur head over the bath without bein in it and let someone wash it that way x

Becky-I am 10 days post op now. So far MYA has been amazing…Dr Adamo is my surgeon the and the whole team at Highgate were amazing. My PC is Samantha who text me the day before my surgery and when I told her I was nervous she text me back reassuring words. The nurse called me the day after my surgery and asked how I was doing. When I was in pain, I called the emergency line and the nurse (Joan) was so helpful.

During my 7 days check Jody and Vicky (nurses at London clinic) are ever so sweet and reassured me that I can call them for any questions.

I am due to see Dr Adamo on the 30th of Sept for my 6 weeks check. So far my experience with MYA has been amazing and I would recomment them to anyone.

i havent had my BA yet, but my pc Nadja Collins has been absolutely brill with me, withbregards to communication etc!!!! shes based @ d holborn, london branch…anyone else agrees???

Hey everyone my pc is on holiday an haft heard from her for a while but nadja txt me last nite and I jus have got off the phone to her cuz she rang to see how I was and to say to contact her anytime and I wa saying how nervous I am getting and she was fantastic on the phone and has now made me extreemly excited!!! So thank u nadja!!! I feel so much better now someone has contacted me x

i also need to add that since my proper pc Holly Green has got back from holiday she has called to appologise for not txting me the other pc details and she has been lovely so i am not worried anymore at all and think the whole mya team have been fantastic so far!!! xxx
