Hi, I haven’t been on since I had my consultation as I thought I should take some time out to have a think.

I had my pc and surgeon consultation in Holbon on 27th Feb.

I was told that my nose will never be slim (I fought the urge to burst into tears and carried on as if I wasn’t really almost devastated to hear this) I was also told it may not look any different afterwards, especially because of my thick skin.

Anyway, I was told that my tip could be made slightly narrower, but that he wasn’t sure how much, and wouldn’t know how much he could do until he is actually in the process of doing it.. but he said I would be given an alar base reduction, but my nostrils are narrow.. and that he would also do a deprojection.

Basically, although I am pretty much sure when I am in the position to have it done financially, all of this made me really feel like well what is the point if the best surgeon doesn’t know if it will be a waste of money, (his own words even) if it will even look any different, and whether he can even do much..?

Anyone told similar things? Anyone told similar things then ended up with a good result/difference?

Also could anyone show me any alar base reduction scars? And deprojection pics?

The clinic was so so busy when I was there it must be crazy if it’s always like that! Most of the people who came in I was really thinking what an earth where they there for as everyone didn’t have anything noticeably wrong with their noses at all! xxxx

i had quite a bulbous nose before and even tho he said itl look different there was a chance he wouldnt of been able to make it as small as i wanted it but im now 4months and to me its tiny theres a massive difference and he was pleased as well and said itl get smaller and smaller ! i had alar base reduction so u can take a look if u want, im quite lucky with scarring altogether so mine have healed quite well you cant see them unless you properly look or if im sat in the dark and shine a light up there lol x
