got a family party to go to on the 17th and my op is on the 19th nobody knows im having it done, do u think if i have a glass of wine it will be wrong or should i just not have anything ? x

Don’t do it! My birthday is day before my op. Tuesday and I’m not touching a drop xx

well i was at creamfields till the monday, my op was on friday, and im 6 days PO, and iv had a little drink(( had a seriously bad day)) …im 100% sure that it wont cause any problems, having a few drinks one evening will not floor your immune system, you just cant do it every day, i have a medical back ground, but id defo go with the 48 hrs before after rule xxx

They don’t give you advised based on what happens to everyone, they give you advise based on what might/could happen if you don’t follow their guidelines. They cannot say whether you having a drink/smoke will effect “you”, they can only say it might…but would you want to be the one person who has something go wrong? I certainly wouldn’t seeing as I am paying nearly 6k..you have the rest of your life to get pissed/smoke. Sorry to preach lol. xxx

aw thanks ! my blood pressure was high at the preop so she left it till the very end and took it again and luckily it had come down :-)but it was still higher than normal cos i was so goddam nervous!!!lolxx

my highest was 153/109 and lowest was 143/106! should be max /90 and even that is classed as high!!! Normal is /80!! I know somethings not right, just need to pluck up the courage to get to the dr’s. xxx
