Oooh yes, you definitely MUST mention that. In fact, I’d double check on the day of the op that they’ve got it on the form too as I think opiate-based painkillers are what you’re given as a matter of course. Good job you remembered!

definitely! its not uncommon for morphine to be given in theatre while your asleep, make sure you tell the nurse at your pre op and if you’ve had it ring them. Also when you are admitted you should be given a red allergy band to wear with morphine written on it on your wrist aswell as a name band, make sure this isn’t missed xx

I am sure they will have something else, but it might be something that they need to order in advance from the hospital pharmacy because that will be a controlled drug too so give them a ring tomorrow. Good luck! xx
