So finally had my op yesterday morning! When I thought it would be the stitches that were gonna be the most painful, my chest feels like I’ve been in 10 car crashes!! Is it normal to see a little blood through the plaster that covers your stitches? Can’t wait for the pain to ease so I can sleep, anyone know how roughly this lasts? Xxxx

Hi Katie. I was the same, felt like I had been kicked in the chest!! I’m 4 days PO today and it has eased off and I’m feeling normal again. I haven’t had any problem with blood on my dressings so can’t help you with that soz xx

Not glad that you’re in pain but glad I’m not the only one. I didn’t expect this much pain, I feel winded haha. Hurts most at the top of my boobs. I had my op on the 22nd, hoping the pain goes by a week at least :S xxx

I had mine on the 22nd, I’ve also been in a lot of pain and had some kind of allergic reaction to the an anesthetic and the I was rushed to a&e but I’m ok now! Such a horrible feeling like there’s a elephant siting on my chest! I can’t see my insisions as I’m stapped up! Hope you heal nice and quickly!! Xx

Yeah I stopped breathing whilst they operated apparently and they had to bring me round but I don’t remember it! Maybe I should give them a ring and ask about the blood? Litterally feels like I have a small child on my chest!! My throat also feels swollen and bruised! Just crossing my fingers that the pain goes away soon! Hope you’re all healing ok!! Xxx

I had overs Katie. I think I’ve been lucky coz I haven’t had any pain as such, just the heavy/kicked feeling. I have been really bruised though. I’ve just uploaded a pic of it .. It’s in between my boobs and round the sides, under my arms. Thankfully its starting to fade. I wouldn’t have thought a small amount of blood on your dressings would be a problem. The antibiotics should stop any chance of infection too xx
That’s awful Chloe!! Glad you’re ok now xx

Ahh rite maybe that’s why you haven’t had much pain! Lucky you! I had unders and I’m really really sore! Kazzazi also told me not to wear a bra over my strapping and to take my expensive bras back and you use the comfy primarks ones! Hope I can sleep soon!! Xxxx

Hiya…ahh poor you I remember this feeling 5 weeks ago but don’t worry even with understand the pain should calm down at around 2 weeks. I could do everything at 2 weeks but still remained cautious of heavy lifting and over doing it but when you feel like you’re over doing it make sure you take it easy. It’ll Calm down don’t worry – first few days are the worst of it. Can’t help with the blood Hun but maybe worth ringing and speaking to the nurse. Your surgeons right as you probably still have swelling plus strapping so you won’t know until swelling comes down and strapping off which bra you should really wear or feels comfortable.

I bought two m & s ones …one size up for during swelling and one was my actual size. Then as the weeks went on I bought a comfier one from Asda to sleep in.
