Hia, I had my op on Tuesday (17th), and I somehow managed to get a bad cold exactly a week before. My only tips are just take the rest off work now, drink loads of water and keep taking flu tablets/medicine. Also try not to leave the house at all. I also sat in the bath for about 2 hours each day in some attempt to sweat it all out of my system and i disinfected my room every day, and changed my bedding when i started getting better. They will still do the operation as long as you’re not producing mucus when you cough, so as long as you’re ok-ish and not completely rough then they should go ahead with it.
