All post op rhino girls I need advice?

Ok girls I had my operation 23rd of nov and my cast is coming off Monday, I had my stitches out Monday and the nurse has left a great blue stitch in (not my actual problem tho) my nose still seems a lot bigger than what I wanted, while I appreciate I have a cast on but it’s only 3mm or so thick it’s still looks from the side a lot bigger than what I wanted and it’s not just the cast as the bottom tip and length of my nose is still long as it was before. Did anyone’s nose drastically look smaller and was the cast making things seem bigger? Can’t see it myself as I can see the length of my nose and the tip, what if it’s a waste of money? Xx

Hun your not that far post it will still be swollen it can take months and months to see the final result. Be patient I’m sure you’ll be happy xx

Hey huni, try not to keep guessing how its like under the cast…will start to drive you mad!

The cast does a good job of hiding things, but there is swelling too and it could take a while for you to see your actual result…I still have some swelling (I’m 10 weeks post op)but its a totally different nose in comparision to the 1st day I had the cast off.

I promise you Dr G will have done an amazing job, you will have no regrets.. Its an emotional rollercoaster having a rhinoplasty but in the end I can guarantee you will be happy xxx

Hiya! Ive still got my cast on too and whilst my bump has gone (which was my main problem) I think the over all size pretty much looks the same, but im not worried cos if u look at these girls photos their noses look so different weeks and even months on! Ur nose will settle and it will get smaller it’s just a long old process! It rubbish not being able to tell isn’t it! We are at the worst stage lol xxx

Sascia try not to worry too much, i am 10 month PO now and the difference now to when my cast came off is considerable. It really does take months for the swelling to go right down for me about 6 months then gradually it gets even smaller. I am so happy with mine, and mine was really swollen especially on the tip when my cast came off but i still saw a difference. Good luck and i’m sure you’ll love it xx

My cast made my nose look completely dif n bigger than it actually was so I wudnt worry! It took me a whole year 2 c the real size of my nose n I now love it. I too at first thought my nose was still way too big so hang in there cos in the end it will b great! X
