Hey guys, i just read through my manual and feel i have been compleatly miss sold these implants by my ps at mya!she said it was well worth the extra for ‘allergan natrelle soft touch’ as they were ‘lifetime guaranteed’!and allergan would replace them if they ruptured ‘AT ANY POINT ‘ well thats one big fat lie after reading the manual it states allergan will only replace the implants within 10 years of implant if they rupture.so forgive me for being dumb basically this ‘lifetime guarantee’ is only a ‘lifetime guarantee’ if i drop dead within the next 10 years?,now considering im only 26 i bloody well hope thats not the case!!was anybody else told about this so called lifetime guarantee?maybe mya mod could explain this to me as im very confussed??!

Hi Beth I think what they mean by actual life time guarantee is that instead of needing a possible replacement within 10 years they can last between 15-20 years before they need replacing not 100% sure this is the case tho just going by what I’ve read on here xx

Duno what part u read but u do get life time , allergen will replace the implant but won’t pay fr the surgery 😉 so all u pay is the fr the opp not the implant

What Kim said is what i was told and if between 10-20 years they rupture u pay for the op but get implants replaced free well that’s what i was told anyway

Hey kim, i understand these implants are probably not going to last and i’ll need them replaced but i just think its wrong stating that!i know i’ll need a re-op but i was told i’d get 700 toward any future surgery and whenever this happens 10 15 20yrs the actual implant would be free?but thats not true only if they rupture within in the nxt 10 years will allergan replace them and thats not what i was told!!Xx

I read my naturelle manual page 6 product replacement policy which states ‘in the event of non-iatrogenic loss of breast implant shell WITHIN 10 YEARS of implanatation the device will be replaced with identical or equivalent device’ so they will only replace if they rupture within 10 years!

The life time covers the life time of the implant, not the patient. So 10 years is the lifetime of an implant, but it’s personal choice wether you change it at 10 years or not.
Think of it this way…. Your toothbrush has a three month lifetime ideally, but who actually changes their toothbrush every three months?! Xx

Hey joannabella,so technically they should just tell people they have a 10 year guarantee i have found it very miss leading as my ps didnt say there guaranteed for the lifetime of the implant she said there guaranteed for rupture for a lifetime!more fool me for not researching these implants more before having something put into my body Xxx

That’s how it was explained to me xx

Yea mya state it as like a lifetime guarantee (not stating just the implant) but when I went on transforms site, it said lifetime guarantee of the implant (10yrs) so thats why I opted for cui, I know natrelles reduce risk of rippeling etc etc cause of the 1 extra layer and a few other problems, but to me it was just the fact that if your going to get rippeling you will get it no matter what the implant. So I saved some money and went with cui. If I’d not seen the transform site then probably I would have had natrelles for the “lifetime” guarantee xx

Same here Beth. I was told lifetime guarantee and then when I went in with mr mounir I had to sign to say 10 years. Was too scared to say anything. Also worried he made me sign to say stop smoking so now worried if anything goes wrong they’ll blood test me for nicotine to get out of it. Bit worried I have a trust issue already and yet to go under the knife.

Naturelle implants or any other implants are not garunteed a life time at some point in life you will need to change them, that being said the ‘myth’ of having implants changed every ten years is not necessary, unless their is a problem with your breasts, rupture, deformity, capsular contractions, severe rippling leave them alone. I’ve not had mine done as yet but with doing research there are women whose had their implants in more than 20-25years with no problems or changes even with further pregnancies. Maintaining good health and lots of support on your breasts will keep results intact. The ‘lifetime guarantee’ is the implant itself not the patient. To be honest when you go in for cosmetic surgery always do your own research aswell..my own advice . Hope this helps

Wow, I’m quite surprised to be reading this. I had Eurosilicone, and they have a lifetime warranty. They are also the only manufacturer who promise to provide a new implant for free in the event of capsular contracture (grade IV), and will swap to a different size/profile if you so wish, all for free. They are owned by mentor corp, who trade in USA, but these are the Eu ones – not FDA approved but have the Eu medical CE kite mark equivalent. I wouldve thought that Allergan would be the best, given all the song and dance that MYA give them. Still, I am sure they are extremely safe and the best, but I understand why you are a bit peeved Beth x x x

Hi I’m back on this topic, I was curious to find out the right information as I am going for the naturelle inspira its higher premium and best quality. If you are going on to wether the implant itself is lifetime garuteed its basically the warranty which is yes life time replacement so if it was to rupture or deflate you will get a replacement with any size of your choice. The 10years is if it ruptures within that time you will be given £700 off your re op procedure. So mya are not misleading but I can see where it can be misunderstanding.
