Am i the only one scared???

is there any one out there scarred, there not going to wake up after there op??? booking in to have my boodies done….just have this fear that i’m not going to wake up!! thats the only thing stopping me!! Any helping words??? x

yes hun, a few of us go through the motions of being scared this way, especially if you have kids.

the changes of anything happening serious is so minimal, the antidote is only kept in small numbers. you are monitored so much through it all, you have people just concentrating on your vitals.

i had a small reaction to the general, and all that happened to me, was i took ages to wake up and i was thrashing around loads. the nurses told me i was the only reaction she had seen in a year (i think i was given to much rather then a reaction, but i dont remember any of it, i dont remember after the local, for the canula) xx

I was really scared, but my anethetist said that you have higher chances of dying in a car accident when you make 1hr long car journey then from GA..

So I figured out that Im putting my life in far more danger by driving to work 40 miles every day!

Its normal to be worried, but you will be fine! xx

I know i so want to go a head with it, then i get this fear going though me.. ur right, i think u do get scared more, when you have children i have a little boy. thank you x x

I said “good-bye” to my kids before my opp. And told them if I don’t come home to remember that I alwasy loved them, even when they were naughty and I had to tell them off!

im such an idiot! lol!

lucyr you will have a team of experts looking after you,they will not let anything happens to you,when this is all done you will wonder why you were worried,you will be fine,and you will wakeup with beautiful new boobs,focus on that, don’t worry honey.xxx

You will be fine, im a nurse and have never seen anyone not come round from an operation, even twelve hour long ones, and we are only going under for an hour. Ive got two small children and as a mum we always think the worst, but im not even focusing on the miniscule chance of anything bad happening, just the great results at the end! Go for it xx
