feel on edge today im waiting to hear if i can still have my op im booked in on the 4th of march and been so excited.. but had a kidney check up and there not working so well and not sure if they can go ahead with my op
is it bad that i still want it despite all that?? xx
thanks hun me 2 feel sick while i wait to hear from the aneathatist, wont b till next week tho, would just b goin under that would b the problem but dunno what other option id have xx
Oh no
I went to see my surgeon and because I had toxic shock 2 years ago and had kidney failure he said he wouldn’t do my op unless I had proof that everything is ok. It’s better to be safe than sorry though. I was gutted when he told me that. I was like I don’t care and my heart went in my throat thinking he was gonna say no. All fingers crossed for you hun x
oh no did u have it done?? ive just had to ask the kidney dr to do a letter and she is as im stabble but she said there would b a risk in doing it but there is with any1 xx
Well im still a pre op girl at the mo. My surgery isn’t till April so made sure I got it done soon just incase there was any problems. I had to have a full blood count, kidney test, blood presure and heart listened to. Thank the lord everything came back normal so have just sent the results back to the surgeon with a covering letter from the doctor to say im fit to have it done. Mr Fallahdar refused to do it other wise. To be honest (and i know you won’t really wanna hear it) but id be a bit worried that they would just go ahead with surgery knowing something isn’t quite right with you that could put you in any danger. Horrible to keep you hanging a week to 2 weeks before your surgery though.
im havin the heart thing done tomorrow.. but i kno i thought i had seen the nurse 2 late as i have problems would have been better 2 c her earler now all in a rush to get everythin back 2 the anethatist.. i kno what u mean and its bad i still want it done really just hate my body xx
i hope you get the all clear hunn, i’ll keep my fingers crossed for you xx
thankyou khanni im havin everythin crossed tomorrow xxx
I know hun. I do know how you must be feeling because I would be exactly the same. But shorely you’d prefer a body you don’t like for a little long than be a on dialysis machine. It’s not fun. Im sure everyting will turn out ok for you. Fingers x’d for ya x
i kno u r rite.. can goin under damage ur kidney function then? xx
Well I don’t actually know. It must do something if they are wanting to make sure and have proof they are ok.
i dont think it affects the kidneys but it can increase risks as it slows down the rate at which your blood circulates around your body. got this off the net.
General anesthesia is usually safe for healthy people. People with heart, lung, or kidney problems, smokers, people who abuse alcohol or medications, and those with allergies or a family history of being allergic to medicine may have a higher risk of having problems with general anesthesia.
Ask your doctor about these complications:
Mental confusion (temporary)
Lung infection
Heart attack
Stroke
Harm to your vocal cords
Waking during anesthesia (rare)
Death (rare)
it’s better to be safe xx
khanni thanks so much its not looking good 4 me anyway
gutted thanks 4 all ur help tho ladies xx
awww what happened hunn? did your results come back? xx
my doctors letter to mya says they wouldnt advise me having it done at this time as i need dialasis but if they wanted 2 try and keep me under not 4 long.. so the nurse said its not looking good but the anethatist hasnt said no yet will hear back on monday.. they have mnaged 2 drop my blood pressure with new tablets now so i feel better anyway.. and my ecg was all normal.. but what r the chances they will? im sayin 0 xx
You need dialasis??? Shorely you’d already be in hospital with kidney failure if you needed to be put on a dialasis machine??
yeah will have 2 i dont really kno whats going on and i dont really feel ill at all my kidney function is at 18% out of 100% but just waitin 2 hear from them of what were doing xx
